Oh i wanted to like this. 3 cosplay babes join Santa played by Barry Bostwick to fight Krampus. Issues isnthengirlsmare internet stars so they bring just the most plastic performances that make the near exhausted and nearly dead cameo of Richard Mull seem like he has more personality. The issue isnt really the main trio but having super internet fan boy Spooky Dan walker as a director. Dan did sfx for years but seemedmtoo really get inspired when hanging out on Repo the genetic opera dealing with aging goth girls and comic book comvemtion nerds in an era when Pyschobilly was huge. Now I enjoy those things but I can at least admit thats a phenomena of popularity that started in 2010 and ended in oh somewhere in 2010. 8 years later Spooky Dan is trying to be presemt hip with the tumblr kids thus seeming extremely dated and confusing before the movie was even out. Everyone loves that anime fan girl Hannah Mix on youtube, ugh, her presence on youtube started off cute then got annoying, spoiler, its no difference here. The saracasm causes the humour to fall dead and the monster action is limited. Maybe im just an old fart and doesn't get the internet humor but mixing it with 80s horror comedy tropes in it, just comes off like when your dad shows up to your party and says "Heeey kids look i can make a horror comedy all the kids are into these days". I mean if you want some cute but tough girls battling with than along side Barry Bostwick it , its true, that is there. Ok this will make you understand the humor, midway duringbthe credits it cuts back to the main three girls and one of them turns to the camera and says "Merry Christmas Bitches!"... Do I need to critique that? Nope, sigh. Just get some ice out to chill your face as you will be face palming alot. Its fun on the surface but sadly it did not jingle my bells.

So I know I’ve posted about this before, but last year a movie I produced came out. Due to some... kinks with our distributors, we are now about to begin the process of trying to sell it to foreign markets for the coming holiday season. 

This has been a long road for us- it took five years between filming and release, uphill battles all the way, and it’s very much a low budget indie film, meaning it’s our own money and our own efforts pushing it along. Plus, without our distributors’ help, trying to sell it overseas is going to be a whole new can of worms.

It’s a genuinely fun movie-- not a masterpiece by any means and it was never meant to be, but we’ve always aimed for fun, and I think it delivers on that. Still, we have a lot of bad reviews, many of which stem from angry internet trolls who are disappointed that one of our lead actresses doesn’t have a topless scene. (that’s been part of the battle, much to my chagrin)
