Wednesday by Ylden Ave may not be as much of a bookworm as the Professor or Frei, but she is not averse to spending the whole day with a good book in hand. ^_^ Also, yeahhh I cut her hair. The length was becoming too unmanageable. She still has other long-haired wigs. This won't be missed XDDD

Crown of Flower, Crown Of Light by Ylden
Yeah, trying and failing to do this month’s Resin Aperture challenge of Contre-jour (because yeah apparently a large component of “against daylight” shooting is—surprise, surprise—daylight), ended up with low-key lighting. Boo.
A waste to discard though… D:
Holy crap, how could I have forgotten?! I actually have some printed stretch fabric lying amidst my stash: the Paint Splatter I made my shirt from!
Ok, this fabric presents some interesting effects. It's the lightest of the lot, so the breasts don't get outlined uncomfortably. But it's also too light, that the dress doesn't sit on the shoulders as flat as I would like. Still, I know for certain this fabric type carry a wide range of prints, so I'll be definitely using this for the commission.
I should also learn how to do V-necks properly. I very nearly butchered this one. D:

Aaaand it does work on spandex, too! This one looks more formal, because it barely holds any crease. Bras may be needed though, as it's heavier and outlines the breasts like whoa. XDDD

5th Atelier: Ballerina Dress by Ylden
Play-testing a dress design for one of the commissions by imcatchingfireflies! I was not really sure how to go about the asymmetrical skirt part, so I decided to do a draft (I never do drafts, don't know why I decided on it this time). Turns out, though, it's just a matter of moving the waisthole off center. :O And the stretch cotton gives awesome drape. Wonder if it will be the same for spandex or lycra though...
5th Atelier Plushie Hoodies: Red Crowned Crane by Ylden
Not to leave big sister out from the flannel hoodie fun, of course. But I suddenly have this crazy idea for her animal motif. I consider the red crowned crane to be Ave’s spirit animal: not the usual graceful and pure swan, something more fierce but just as majestic.
Red felt, black fur, and white flannel mimics the bird’s striking color palette, while the dolman-sleeve most certainly evokes the wings. I’m a little proud of this concept, to be honest. “~_~

5th Atelier: Evening Grey by Ylden
I’m barely 24 hours back home, and I’m not yet in the mood to run the sewing machine. But I still need my dressmaking fix, so no-sew draping to the rescue! A square piece of shirt fabric and some pins do the job quite nicely. ♥
Also in which I realize, I’m becoming one of those who dress their dolls in handkerchiefs and scarves. Can I just say it’s a little addicting?? The number of things you can do with some clever pinning and tying! XDDD
