Wing AU. After getting tossed into the human realm the gang end up taking to building a big olā nest in the living room and all sleeping in it together cause it helps with the Traumaā¢ļø. Amity usually lays on top of Luz, Luz sleeps splayed out so she can be touching everyone, Hunter wraps his wings around Willow and Gus, and the two of them kinda just exist in the protection wings. Whenever one of them as a nightmare the others all rush up to help them and all end up in a sleeping pile. -PunkAnon
Luz and Hunter take turns on who's at the top and bottom of the pile. The bottom of the pile gives Maximum Crush and also you get to be the one everyone is choosing to sleep on and your wings can cover them if you try hard enough, like a little protective ball. The top of the pile means you can keep an eye on everyone and everything around you, and you're also still touching everyone and get to be the one Providing Maximum Crush. It's the trauma. Willow takes a turn at the bottom of the pile a few times and they know better than to argue with her.
Gus is both the one everyone wants to crush, and also the one they try not to because he is Small. He rebels by purposefully wiggling underneath everyone until he's absolutely smothered and they just gotta live w it. Amity is less used to sleeping in a pile since her mom discouraged it with her siblings so she's usually the one laying over the others, but she'll sometimes let Luz or Willow sleep on her. Willow is just Ready to be crushed at any and all times.
Vee gets added to the pile at some point, even if she doesn't have wings. It sort of starts with her at the very edge of the pile (and as far away from Hunter as physically possible. bad memories. also, he tried to maul her when they first met) and she steadily gets closer until she's being somewhat crushed underneath other people. Once, she and Hunter had mutual "yeah yr cool" and he draped the end of his wing over her while falling asleep, and she let him. Luz never shuts up about it.
2024 sometimes art doesn't go how you want and you backslide on all progress you've make on drawing humans. and that's ok. Keep at it!
