Sleeping tea
I didn't plan to share this at first, but a friend told me I should, so here I am! This is the first potion I brew. I have a very unstable sleep, it is very difficult for me to sleep at night. But this drink always helps me, so I hope it helps you too!
My mother tongue is not English, but I still hope this makes sense. If you don't understand something, let me know!
Ingredients: • 1 tsp cardamom - To relax the body and clears the mind • Peel / zest of 1/2 lemon - Love, happiness, healing. • 1 black tea bag - Mental clarity, stability, grounding • 2 tablespoons of lavender (Optional) - Happiness, self-love, prosperity
Steps 1. While you're making it, sing a lullaby! Humming a tune also works. It will help you focus your intentions 2. Place the lemon and lavenders in a pot with a handle. Add the water to it and bring it to a boil. 3. When it starts to boil, add the cardamom seeds. Lower the heat to a minimum and let it sit for about ten minutes. 4. Take it off the heat, put the tea bag in the pot (tying it around the handle) and let it rest with the other ingredients for a few minutes for the ingredients to work. 5. Strain the drink through a coffee filter. Serve the way you like it!
Tip: I personally like to sweeten this drink with lavender syrup or lemon syrup. It also works with sugar or honey, you can choose the way you like it best! Also, I recommend preparing the drink overnight, before going to sleep.
Please, remember: cardamom should not be used by pregnant women or people with gallstones.
Simple Sleeping Infusion (Homemade Blend)
Maybe you have trouble getting asleep, maybe you’re suffering from anxiety or depression and that troubles your mind, so I’ll share with you the blend I’ve been using. You need:
Valerian root
California Poppy petals
Honey
Valerian root is commonly used for sleeping disorders, it has a calming effect and works really well against insomnia. Its smell and flavour is not my favourite, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Poppy tea has a sedative effect and it can be used to treat anxiety, depression and to calm your mind. However, as poppy seeds can be dangerous, we’ll be using the dried flower petals.
Honey is just always lovely and will infuse your tea with love and warmth. I don’t usually sweeten my drinks but in this case it’s a good addition. I personally recommend having this infusion/herbal tea once a day, half an hour before going to bed. Prepare it in a ritual way— make the blend, boil the water while thinking how good it feels to be present, add the honey and stir clockwise imagining yourself in bed in a very calmed and happy state. And of course, drink it being conscious of the healing magick working on you.
Sweet Dreams and Good Sleep Tea
I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, and my dreams have been blurry or a bit unsettling so I experimented with some herbs and came up with this tea!
INGREDIENTS: - one peppermint tea bag (to induce sleep. This is going to be the base of the tea) - a couple of pinches of ground fennel (for increased memory and inducing dreams) - a pinch of ground nutmeg (for inducing sleep also) - a pinch of dried rosemary (for pleasant memories and warding off nightmares) - (optional) a teaspoon of honey (for extra sweetness in sleep)
METHOD: - mix all the ingredients in a diy tea bag or a teapot and let steep in boiling water for 3-5 minutes - if adding honey, stir clockwise to attract sleep and good dreams - drink right before sleep
I hope this helps anyone else who’s looking for good sleep! good luck and good fortune be with you ✨

*sighs and struggles to carry you to your room* Ack.... I'm not good at this.
You can kill me. Just don't kill anyone else.. *sighs some more kind of drops you onto your bed and unties the leash* There. Goodnight. *puts the covers over you*
