Movie night ends with Keith waking up in the dark with Lance, crossing physical boundaries he'd never entertained before. If the next movie night ends the same way, would it really be so bad?

If you had told Lance a few months ago that he would be here, running his fingers through this rivals hair and thinking oh, he would’ve been in complete and utter denial and scream a string of “no”’s, not letting you get a word in edgewise.

But Lance now is horrified at his discovery, watching Keith sleep in his lap, with all the trust of a grumpy cat, and Lance couldn’t help but think oh.

Because oh.

voltron + klance at a gala on olkarion

there's music, dark green lights, and incredible dresses- like the one worn by allura. it's brown and looks incredible with her white silk hair

lance is with her (coran told him to protect her for the night, she is a princess of course)

and keith is with hunk and shiro as they interact with some olkari

and look- keith hates galas. he hates them. this is what? his twentieth as leader? so yes- he hates them and he hates when shiro pushes him to be social because "keith- we need to form a good alliance"

so keith isn't even listening to hunk as he converses with some olkari guy. he leaves the physical world and imagines him and lance sleepy and in bed because it's what? 12 am? keith is sleepy. and he would like to be in bed with his boyfriend, because again- he hates this

he proceeds to imagine just lance

lovely lovely lance. god he loves lance

he loves his face, he loves his eyes and loves when he blushes

he loves his lips

and it hits him like a kick in the face, this need to kiss lance- because he loves him and, again, he also loves his lips

so he just leaves shiro and hunk. shiro protests however it rests on deaf ears as keith moves across the gala and when he sees lance- sees his lovely face- his need to be with him grows

so he pulls him away to the garden

"keith, baby, what-"

and keith kisses him

it's less loud in the garden and he dies when lance kisses him back because he needed this, needed to be with him

"samuri, did you pull me away just to kiss me?" he says with a grin. he always grins when he's with keith

keith of course says no and blushes this dark red and lance kisses his cheek and says, "you are very adorable"

lance oversees the princess for the rest of the night and when they go "home", he and keith exchange kisses in bed and keith sleeps like a baby

Keith can fall asleep anywhere.

This boy trains day in and day out his limbs are heavy with exhaustion so he just plops anywhere he deems worthy and is out like a light.

- Lance has found him snoozing in various rooms of the castle, completely bewildered at the fact that Keith can comfortably rest in those absurd positions

- no one really says anything about it though, they know he needs his rest with the amount of stress and anxiety he bottles up so if he just so happens to be sprawled across a desk with half his torso hanging off the edge then, well, guess they have to have a meeting elsewhere

- He doesn’t snore either, and most of the paladins are caught up in their own thoughts or reports to really see where keith is, and multiple times have had to avoid stepping on him at the last possible second

- one time lance didn’t make it in time and the loud wheeze beneath his foot about scared him right out of his skin

- keith half the time doesn’t realize he’s fallen asleep or dozed off, and he gets flustered when he wakes up with curious eyes on him from someone who caught him napping

- eventually Lance and Shiro decide Keith needs to sleep somewhere more comfortable or he’ll develop strained muscles and aches, so they take turns carrying him to his bed whenever he unconscious somewhere in the castle

- Keith catches on too this and pretend to sleep in random areas where one of them is nearby for the soul purpose of being carried by either of them

So yeah, Keith can fall asleep anywhere

Keith is napping on Lance's lap, while Lance plays with his mullet.

Keith: *mumbles in sleep* Lance...

Wanna know what I wanna read?

Galra!Keith gets bitten or breathes in a toxin or some shit like that and instead of it being like a love bug or something, it makes him want to cuddle.

Keith is a touch starved individual. He can’t really control when he skin changes to purple and has short, soft fur or when his ears get fluffy and bat/cat-like. I can see him huddling up in his room with a nest of blankets and pillows just cause he doesn’t want so spook anybody. He doesn't understand what the fuck is going on that is slowly making him want to hug people.

Like, once he figures it out and everything, he tells Shiro and Shiro is all like, "you need a hug? Okay let me hug you" and Keith just fucking melts into this platonic hug cause then he starts to feel so much better. Like, that itch under his skin is gone and he feels warm and safe.

Then, slowly but surely, the other paladins and Allura and Coran realize what's going on and want to help their friend and comrade feel better.

Keith realizes a few things during this whole process:

Coran’s hugs are a little wild and eccentric, but Keith doesn’t mind because it completely Coran and he would never admit it, but Coran’s weirdness if a comfort for him. Any time he runs into Keith, he always throws his arms open and gives Keith a squeeze so strong that his spine pops and after a minute, Keith squeezes him back, though not as hard because he is still learning to control his strength when in galra mode. 

Allura would more than likely be hesitant at first, especially when Keith is purple, but will ultimately relax after a couple seconds because she knows it’s Keith and Keith refuses to harm anyone of them. Allura would be the one to give gentle hugs. The one to just line her forearms down his back with her hands on his shoulder blades. Her hugs would be the ones to convey “It’s okay if you need me to let go. I won’t hold it against you.” Hell, Keith would probably come to Allura when he needs hugs that like because he can’t figure out how to change back so Allura would make him a big more comfortable and use her abilities to grow a bit taller and turn purple herself. Just doing that alone, I think Keith would be appreciative and makes his respect for her grown even more than it already had.

Hunk will give him endless amounts of hugs and back rubs and will just let Keith cling onto him when ever he feels the need to. I can see Hunk trying to make a certain type of human food for dinner one night and Keith just walks into the kitchen and fucking spider monkeys himself to Hunk's back. Hunk doesn't even mind, just goes about his way, give Keith the occasional pat on the head and asking what Keith's opinion is on a few ingredients he wants to use.

Pidge isn't exactly the hugger type, and she only gives big hugs when she super worried or ecstatic about something. But sometimes Keith can walk into her room or in the lounge or wherever Pidge is and can just casually relax with her. Sometimes he'll lean against her back to back as she types or grumbles about something. If she starts to get really frustrated, Keith will hug her from behind and just kind of hold her until he can feel her physically relax. It's something that Matt would do anytime school or the people that bullied her a lot back on earth. It keeps her grounded and she's able to focus and stay calm as she goes back to typing and Keith goes back to leaning against her.

Shiro would be the one that gave the friendly dad type of hugs. They would be the hugs that say, “It’s okay”, “I’m so proud of you”, and “You’ve done a good job.”. Shiro would more than likely hold Keith a bit tightly, but that’s probably because he himself needed hugs when he was a galra prisoner and he wants to give Keith the security he needed to feel safe and welcome even if he had purple skin and fluffy ears. 

Lance. Lance Lance Lance. Lance’s hugs would make Keith feel at home, I bet. Lance would probably rock them gently back and forth and probably hum some songs and Keith laid his cheek against his should with his ears folded back. It was something he did back home for his kid siblings and nieces and nephews. They never really talk, Lance just hums along to songs in either English or Spanish. When Keith has a hard time sleeping or he had nightmares about going berserk in galra form (I would straight bet money that he does have nightmares like that ever since he found out he was half galra), he would just go to Lance. Doesn’t matter if it’s in the middle of the night. He would more than likely toss and turn in bed for a while, then give up and slink down to Lance’s room. And Lance would take one look at him and just hold his arms out. Keith would slump his way over and just collapse into Lance. They wouldn’t say a single word. Lance would just hum and rock them back and forth and Keith would fall asleep and Lance would tuck him into bed, wrap his arms around Keith and go to sleep.
