i know its july but,,, secret santa/secret snowflake hcs???
(Scribbles out the beginning of this message) shhhhhhh what do you mean. it's December this is totally the correct time for this ask
Secret Santa between the main cast of Epithet Erased. Why? Who cares! The goal is to get your recipient a gift they'll like, without them being able to guess who got it for them. If you do both, you win!
Giovanni makes Molly a hand-knitted scarf with "Bear Trap" stitched onto it and she immediately gives him a great big bear hug. Gio loses (but he wins in his heart)!
Molly thinks Sylvie will want something "professional," so she gets him a mug that says "#1 Boss." He thinks this is a sarcastic gift from Giovanni and then feels bad when he learns it was actually Molly. Molly wins (but at what cost?)!
Sylvie is supposed to get something for Mera and he hates that. He buys her a $5 Target gift card because that's as much as he's willing to spend. She knows it's not Indus, because he always gets her personalized gifts, but she can't figure out who it was. She accuses Sylvie blindly. Sylvie loses!
Mera has to get a gift for Indus and has a small crisis upon realizing she's never bought him a gift back. Uhhh. What does he like. She ends up buying him some beach toys because of how much he talks about sand. He thinks they are WONDERFUL and must have come from his Lady! Mera wins!
Indus is assigned Percy. He gets her a set of weights, to become STRONG! Because he has heard she is ALSO a bodyguard! ...Kind of! Percy in fact does love them and has literally no clue who could possibly know her well enough to buy her the perfect gift. Indus wins!
Percy is assigned Ramsey. She knows he is an "art lover," as they say, so she buys him a book about the history of various art periods. Ramsey doesn't have to heart to admit he was forced to learn all that in school and he'd rather just have supplies. He also knows it's her immediately but fakes ignorance so she'll win. Percy wins (by dubiously ethical loopholes)!
Ramsey is assigned Zora. He does a really nice wrapping job... on a roll of toilet paper. He makes a run for it, knowing the instant she opens it she'll hate it and know it was him. Ramsey loses (on his own terms)!
Zora is assigned Howie. Ah, jeez, that guy? Yeah, whatever. She puts a hammer in a brown bag and calls it a day. Howie gives it a 10/10 but somehow knows it was her. Zora loses!
Howie is assigned Giovanni. He hands him $50 in cash, which is a LOT for a teenager. It's also super against the spirit of the game, although technically nobody SAID you can't give cash? Giovanni is thrilled and is also stupid enough to think someone else sent Howie to give him the money, so by dubious standards, Howie wins!
