M, V and Z, also for the meme thingie (thanks for your questions btw :D)
meme!
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend. I’m trying to think of the richest, most generous character... like, which one just totally has enough money to set their friends up for life without really asking anything in return? Yeah, I’ll go with Blaine Anderson.
V - Which character do you relate to most? I honestly can’t really think of any characters I actually relate to. I try to relate to every character I write but it’s not always a natural fit, sometimes it takes effort.
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.) I really love it when writers leave feedback for other writers. I especially love it when popular writers, by whatever standard that is gauged, seek out and leave feedback for newer or less known writers. I hate when it just becomes this clique of talented/popular people who (for lack of better term) circlejerk each other and inadvertently just end up forming this wall around themselves as the Popular Writers and no one else feels like they can break through. The whole setup of tumblr adds to this problem because you have to get reblogged to get read, and you really need someone with a decent number of followers to take a chance and read your fic for that to happen. The idea that there are talented people, or people with potential, who give up on writing just because their post is overlooked makes me sad.
AO3 helps; it’s more of a stable platform. But a lot of fandom activity happens only on tumblr. And no one person is capable of reading every fic, depending on what fandom you’re in, but I admire people who try and leave feedback or engage with an author. It’s definitely something I aspire to do more of with fic I read and author I appreciate.
