ME Bench Competition Bench to a 1 Board 463 ✅ 485 ❌ AMRAP w/ 385 (7) Everything felt really good today. I feel the best I have physically since I was a teenager. I failed on 485 today, a number I’ve hit multiple times in competition. My first instinct was to get frustrated and feel disappointed that I missed a weight I’ve done many times before, but then I thought about all that I’ve had to overcome just to get back to this point. Only 3 months ago, I was as down as I’ve ever been with a massive infection covering my head, unable to sleep or eat consistently for months, and no job after getting fired when I retuned to work after recovering from the Rona. 2020 was rough and painful for humanity as a whole and I’m thankful to have survived and come out better and happier than ever on the other side. I could not have done it without those who were there for me. I’m happy to just be healthy again.
