They spoke simultaneously, just like a damned Greek chorus. Lord help him! He had just kissed his wife. Or she had kissed him. Whichever.
You guys! They got married so she could keep her inheritance even though they were literal strangers (He’s a man of honor and was indebted to her dying brother after he saved his life during battle) and now things keep happening that keep him from leaving (they were never supposed to see each other again) and they’re starting to kind of like each other! This is literally the exact same shit y’all love so much about fanfic. I’m literally giggling while reading because it’s so damn adorable.
I can’t begin to explain how much I am enjoying this book. That I’ve read before multiple times. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a book this much. I need to go back to reading romance novels apparently.
I solemny swear that I went to the charity second hand bookshop to donate books and only to donate books... but...
