DELTARUNE SPOILERS!!!
Maybe it's just me but I don't see a lot of people talking about how weird it is that Toriel throws Tenna away in chapter 4. (At least I could kind of understand if he was still broken, but I'm focusing on the outcome after recruiting everyone and he's repaired.) Like the day before Kris and Susie were watching TV until they passed out, why would you throw it away the day after? The first time that TV got used in who knows how long and her thought is "yep gotta get rid of it."
Also, from my interpretation it seems like at one point the TV was a source of comfort for Kris and maybe Asriel at one point in their lives, and now Kris is finally watching it again with their new friend, being Susie, who was really excited about watching TV with them. It's kinda fucked up to suddenly take that away right after it comes back into their life. Like at least discuss it with them first instead of just doing it out of the blue.
ALSO, WHAT ABOUT SUSIE HUH? Toriel absolutely knows Susie's home situation is not ideal, and she won't even consider keeping the TV so that Susie can use it when she visits Kris? Insane. Like even without knowing anything about the Dark World, it is so clear that Susie cares about the TV, likes watching movies, and is even willing to repair it when it doesn't work. I feel like I'm going insane, why not at least offer for Susie to have or use it? Why is the immediate conclusion to throw the TV away?
Maybe I'm projecting a bit with this one, since it really reminds me of my own experiences with my parents and having my outlets and coping mechanisms taken away. So, apologies if this is a weirdly emotional and personal reading of the game. I just have a lot of thoughts and feelings about it all. I fucking love this game so much WAHHHHHH!!!
