To say the experience of dying and coming back is traumatic to newly resurrected ghosts is an understatement.

As the illusion of denial shatters and they're forced to face the music, the harrowing realization the nightmare is all too real often breaks their already strained psyche.

Perhaps the ones who forget their past lives upon rebirth are the lucky ones.

Lyra is not having a good day. Then again, I suppose dying, becoming a hate-fueled ghost kitsune and losing your humanity in the process does that to people.

The stabbing pain in her head worsened significantly as hot tears ran down from yellowing eyes. The swelling noise inside her mind was too much to bear.

She couldn't contain the baneful fox's malice any longer. Repressed, drowned emotions welled and boiled up to the surface, burning with such intensity that her scars violently split open. Lacerations forming on her furred thighs and arms, sending another brutal wave of pain through her transforming body as raging hate began to tear her flesh apart.

Her pleas going unheard once more, the fox silently cursed the dragons above as a smirk crawled up her increasingly inhuman face.

OC Loredump - Lyra

An antisocial Pokémon trainer cursed to become a Hisuian Zoroark after a near-death experience.

Born and raised in Unova, and overwhemled with grief and anger after losing her partner Zoroark to Team Plasma's attack on Opelucid City, She retreats to Sinnoh, hoping for a fresh start as she tries to heal and clear her mind from her past.

However, she nearly dies attacked by an alpha Pokemon, seemingly making an unexpected recovery despite seemingly lethal injuries, stuck in a strange limbo between life and death, transforming into a Zoroark whenever she is overwhelmed by fear or anger.

Afraid of losing herself or harming others, she currently travels trying to find a way to lift or control her curse, while at the same time struggling with healing her grief.

Despite her outwardly grumpy and distant persona, underneath lies a shy and lonely girl trying to find her way in the world after losing who she cared about most.

While she mantains her personality and identity while transformed, the result of her being overwhelmed by intense feelings of anger, malice and resentment cloud her judgement and memories, causing her to become extremely reclusive and/or violent, prone to extreme emotional instability.
