Photographing my fave for uni :D
Christmas is just around the corner and Slinky Malinki can't resist the beautifully decorated tree
Gosh, I remember reading these stories to my kids back in the day.
Our beautiful, beloved Slinky Malinki has slipped from stage 3 into stage 4 kidney disease. And the upper ends of stage four. She’s eating almost nothing, drinking plenty, and very very clingy.
The vet says the end is likely only a very few days away.
For now we don’t have to make a decision - she is still eating a little, and drinking. But it won’t be long.
Mum is devastated (Slinky is her cat) and I’m not far off that.
Slinky at 12.45pm: How dare you disturb me from my nap!
Slinky at 12.45am: PLAY TIME!!!
Slinky has moved from stage 2 to stage 3 kidney disease *cries*
Slinky’s weight today: 3kg.
Slinky’s weight a year ago, before her kidney problems began: 4.2kg.
:’( :’( she’s a thin little scarecrow of a cat.
Just back from Slinky's 2-week check-up with the v-e-t. Blood pressure is back down to a good level (but she'll be on the pills probably for life); weight is up by 0.1kg. They've repeated blood tests, but unless those show up anything nasty, they'll see her in two months.
Basically: she's coping on the diet, she's got quality of life, unless her kidneys throw up anything really nasty, there's no reason not to expect her to keep going merrily along for quite some time yet :D
