Now that Slip is actually gone, not just in a coma, Nureyev has to live. He's dedicated his entire life to trying to repay Slip for his life and do everything for him, and now he's kind of Forced to heal for him. Slip gave him his life a second time, and to repay him for that he has to live out the rest of his life to the fullest, Slip has basically told him he has to.
And if Nureyev ever falls into more self-sacrificial, woe is me, I'm a martyr thoughts again I know for a fact that Juno will remind him.

but i think it also speaks to how strong slip and nureyev’s connection is/used to be. slip knows what he needs to do to communicate with nureyev, and nureyev listens. he understands exactly what slip means
also how much slip doesn’t want to be alive??? he hears juno’s pleas and is immediately like ‘yeah no that’s cool, go get your boyfriend girly pop!!’

I know there wasn't really a chance for it, but like, I think one of the worst parts of Slip dying is the fact that they had to leave his body there. They had to leave him like- up on the wall like that.
I just think it would help Nureyev so much to have the closure of burying Slip. I hope they at least have something resembling a funeral. He needs the closure.
Slip Jackson mindlessly doodles all over his arms. There are always chemical structures and formulas, little diagrams of moons and stars, tiny hearts, and smiley faces.
He probably absentmindedly doodles on Petya's arms too.
