Remy's parents are humble Venusian farmers, born and raised, though her mom only has the minimal genemods necessary to live comfortably on the only somewhat terraformed planet. With Melani being 1/8th lupeleon (hence the ears) and a former spacenavy pilot, it wasn't much of a surprise that "momma's girl" Remy chose to get fox mods and become a starship pilot herself. On the other hand, she definitely got more of her dad's height and quietness, and, as her adoring girlfriend would attest, his "equine stamina".

Koblynx are weird little feline-ish reptiles from the incredibly magically-rich Liquorice Galaxy. They are born completely sexless, but can emulate primary and/or secondary sexual characteristics at will by extruding and shaping the ichor that they are filled with. They are integral to The Domain's interstellar and even intergalactic travel, since said ichor acts as a portal to a spatially-compressed subdimension that they are adept at navigating.
