Day 24: Chop
“If you're wondering, PokéAsk Twitters aren't exactly a new thing, but they're reviving. I found some early 2016 Twitters of @LetKasumiNap, @K_Kotone_, @Contestant_K, and @BlueEyedBattler. In fact, @JazzyMudkip got on the bandwagon during the 2016 run with @HugsNSlugs.”
Well, since you guys are invading Twitter again, I thought I would make my own comments about the PokéAsk Revolution.
Pat pat.
Oh right, I have a Twitter Account...
I Have Returned from My Mission
It’s been a while. Glad to be back! ... Why is my icon a cat?
I said I would report here, so here we go! I was a LDS Young-Church Service Missionary serving in the Family History Department. For the past two years, I took care of digital genealogical records and scanned old newspapers for a variety of Family History sites, like familysearch.org and ancestry.com. Even got to scan a few records for the computer.
I joined my mission on June 1st, 2016. During the course of my mission, many things happened. My sister ran away from her husband with her children and got a divorce. I got carpal tunnel within my wrists. My dad lost his job again and we discovered he has Parkinson’s.
On the other hand, I found many new friends on my mission. I got to prepare records for many people who had no records. I stepped up and became a district leader for the Family History Department. Later, I became a zone leader for the city’s YCSM. Then later, I became an assistant to the president for the Arizona YCSM. With that role, I became the data manager for the mission.
Of course, due to the nature of the mission, it wasn’t always going to a location and serving. I also got to do college during my mission. I now have four semesters of music theory under my belt and am headed towards a four-year degree in Music Composition. Still have a long way to go, but you’ll be seeing more compositions from me.
I did have internet access during the time too, so I’m not completely “fish out of water”. I mostly avoided social media though due to the nature of how toxic it can get. No offense, but I stayed off of Tumblr through my whole mission. However, now I’m able to talk to you guys again, so I’m hoping to rekindle a few relationships from years past.
There’s a lot of things that happened on my mission, but this is just a general summary. I’m open to questions though as I decide what to do next! I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing AnonSables due to all my ask files being deleted. Because, at the start of my mission, I thought it would be best to completely cut myself from everything before I collapsed under the pressure of not being around the internet and started playing PokéFarm. I’m weak...
So, without further ado, I’m open to any mod questions! I will not be open to any asks though until I figure out what to do next!
Random Doodle Sketch Dump
Just some drawings I made while on Twitter that I never posted here.
... It’s been a while. Gonna do a music stream! Working on a composition for school, a transcription commission, then I will be doing music for TDP! Mic will be on/off depending how I feel!
"Minute to Sketch It" Inktober! Nothing feels better than getting a good stretch!~
