A delicious twist on classic sloppy joes made with tender shredded chicken cooked in a tangy, sweet, and savory sauce, perfect for serving on hamburger buns.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. Hamburger buns, for serving.
Instructions: In the slow cooker's bottom, put chicken breasts. Put ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix everything together well. Make sure the chicken is covered evenly with the sauce as you pour it over it. When the chicken is done, cover it and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours. Shred the chicken with two forks right in the slow cooker after it's done cooking. For another 10 to 15 minutes on low heat, let the chicken soak up the sauce. Put the chicken sloppy joe on hamburger buns and eat!
