I’m in data saving mode now aka it’s like i have dial up for the next week. However amazingly tumblr is still working for me, so my life isn’t over yay lol
Its the new data plan my husband put us on and it has pros and cons. Once the data is gone it goes into this mode which I guess is like having unlimited data just slower.
As long as I can get on tumblr I don’t give a shit Oh and Google docs so I can write and post my story….Oh and Gmail so I can chat with peeps lol
Anyway good morning 😀
Thickening Research
Have patience. At its best, Thick Data runs like molasses in January. At times, technology can be used to enrich the process, but it can never be allowed to replace the human interaction, even when, functionally speaking, such interaction seems pointless. Because Thick Research is open-ended and observational, there must always remain in its practice sufficient opportunities for mistakes, misunderstandings, and wasted time, because it is through such apparent dead ends that spontaneous discoveries take place. Technological data collection techniques, though they are efficient at providing answers to research questions, reach the target too quickly. They’re like bullet trains, traveling through tunnels under scenic byways, delivering us to our destinations rapidly, but missing the point of the journey.
This. Is. Bull. Shit. Throttling is one thing, this is ridiculous
