Does anyone has a similar experience? Or am I just dumb and don’t try hard enough as (at least)half the teachers think?
I have a hard time differentiating words that have similar but also opposite meaning. Especially if it’s spelled similarily.
For example: I couldn’t fully tell which is left, and which is right until like 4th-5th grade. The only thing that helped and still helps me, is when I was in the car with my dad, and asked him which is left, and which is right. And he said: “See that bridge? That’s left. See that building? That’s right” And ever since, when I think of left and right, the image of the bridge/building is in my mind. And then I had to learn the words english, and almost had to do the whole process all over again.
Other words that come to my mind that are still hard to me:
There are many other words like this, but I can’t remember them right now
