(FYI, I decided the only possible method to pick ONE story for this meme is to ask myself the question: if AO3 suddenly vanished & I hadn’t saved any fics, which would I miss the most?)

skitzofreak / @skitzofreak: you had to lead with the impossible?!? I could go with the amazing gift story they wrote for me that bundled up so many of my favourite tropes, or one of the hottest enthusiastic consent fics I’ve ever read... but applying the above test, I’d have to stick with the classic alternate meeting canonverse AU, you give me something. If I ever write a novel half as solid, I’ll be satisfied.

TinCanTelephone / @cats-and-metersticks: now, on the other hand, even though TCT’s also written many great stories, this one was easy! I love elite athlete AUs, and there’s just something about Jyn’s characterization as a gymnast in keeping score that instantly grabbed me.

slugmutt: I enjoy their modern AUs, either charming or angsty! But this is based on personal tastes, and outside POV is a perennial fave of mine, so I had to go with Love, war, and statistics in which K-2 tries to figure out why Jyn Erso has such an anomalous effect.
