The Old Market Square in Słupsk and its history

This time we are meeting in the Słupsk Town Hall.

For hundreds of years it was the most important square in the city, creating its character. The market, as we are talking about it, was a place of meetings, trade and exchange. The real heart of our city beat here. Everything changed in March 1945.

Flood alarm in Słupsk - February 9, 2024

At the request of the President, the Crisis Management Center announced a flood alarm in Słupsk.

The City Hall in Słupsk informs that the high level of the Słupia River results in, among others, completely filling rainwater channels and preventing water outflow from riverine areas.

"Night of the Living Ballads" performance at the Tęcza Theater

As part of Adult Viewer Thursdays (November 9 and 10), the Tęcza Puppet Theatre will show “Night of Living Ballads” directed by Aleksandra Skorupa.

A performance based on “Ballads and Romances” by Adam Mickiewicz.

HUMAN international show in BGSW

On July 7, 2023, a new collective exhibition HUMAN will be opened at the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art, in which several artists from Poland and Ukraine will take part.

The exhibition will run until October 8, 2023.

“The vicious cycle of man-made and repeated catastrophes for thousands of years has brought us to a standstill and undermined our faith in humanity and the future. Did the civilizational development of humanism really take place?

Or will the primitive human instincts of domination, control and possession not be tamed even in the face of the destruction of humanity and the Earth? The works presented in the exhibition reflect the common sense of the imminent self-annihilation of the human race as a result of the irreversible effects of environmental degradation, the nuclear threat and the war in Ukraine, which in fact has a wide impact on the functioning of the entire world.

And yet, the authors of the works presented at the exhibition do not remain passive observers. The artists analyze the points of contact between historical memory and the socio-political realities of the present, while rejecting individual melancholy in favor of multidimensional forms of criticism, resistance and indifference.

The exhibition as a whole is devoid of utopian illusions framed in anthropocentric, modern logic, and instead is based on a dystopian perspective and the recognition that coexistence is inherently in conflict. How we use this conflicting essence of coexistence to address the environmental and humanitarian crises we face today will largely determine the future we live in.”

3 turniej XI edycji Grand Prix miasta Słupska w szachach szybkich P-15

Rozgrywki odbywać się będą tradycyjnie na świetlicy Polskiego Związku Niewidomych przy Al. Sienkiewicza 8.

Turniej rozpocznie się o godzinie 10:00, a zapisy przyjmowane będą na pół godziny przed rozpoczęciem gier. Sędzią zawodów będzie Brunon Studziński.

XI Grand Prix miasta Słupska jest realizowane w ramach projektu pt. „Organizacja imprez lokalnych w Grach logicznych 2023” dofinansowanego ze środków Miasta Słupska.
