seriously though i think silverflint being secretly canon nearing the end of season 4 is totally believable whether they make it official or not like if you look at the flashback scenes with james and thomas before they were canon in 2.01-2.04 and compare their interactions with flint and silver in 4.1-4.04 they are /SO/ similar. flint is acting the same way around silver as he did around thomas when councelling flirting with him. this is one of the many reasons im like wtf @ all the people saying flint loves silver platonically because how could he when the affection he is showing towards him is exactly the same to that which he showed thomas when they were falling in love
