I have been really curious about how are the producers and writters were going to intwertwine both the Shadow and Bone and the Six of Crows plots since those events are on different timelines (and even going on in different places).
What I believe is that (based on the stills and what we've gather) these first season is going to be the introduction to Jesper's, Inej and Kaz story alternating them in between bits and pieces of the Shadow and Bone storyline.
First season, (/SPOILER) Jesper's past with gambling, Inej's story in the The Menagerie and Kaz's brother, and how he joins The Dregs and finds them both. At the same time, Nina and Matthias are going to have their own story of how they find each other and survived in the snow and all that. By the end of season one, Matthias goes to prison and Kaz finds Nina, and potentially work together before next season.
Season 2, is the whole heist plotline for the Crows. They get Matthias out, reconnect with Nina and all of what we know as SoC and possible season 3, is for Crooked Kingdom. Maybe split into two other seasons, meaning Season 3 and 4 about CK, but that depends on what Netflix decides and how many seasons they signed for. But that's how I feel they're going to divide it.
I've really thought about it, and they're going to alternate between past (S&B's plot) and Present (SoC), which is why they have to follow their forming years and come to be of the crows cronologically instead of going back and forth like in the books. Do I even make sense? I don't know, I was struck with enlightment whilst in zoom class.
