You guys have no idea how beautiful this scene is, Mao about to throw the game, because she doesn’t want to see Amajo push herself further! She cares so much for her Pokémon. So much. And we have seen how she’s always considerate of other people, never wanting to cause conflicts, acting as the big sis for others, and all that. Seeing Suiren tell her best friend to not throw the towel in before the battle’s over, to tell her she’s not considering Amajo’s wish to battle til the end when she usually does so. Gosh. These two are the bestest friends and I love it.
Honestly, Mao came out as a winner in this battle as well. She may have lost the battle officially, but she did great in not giving up on the battle, and actually finishing the fight. On top of perfecting her z-move in a beautiful way!
