Independent Fashion Week Begins

So we all know that fashion week starts tomorrow and for me it always signifies the beginning of fall in NYC.  I am excited to see all the coverage here on Tumblr by fashion editors Born In Flames, Sara Zucker, Darklamb and the rest of the fabulous ladies!

However, let's not overlook all the independent designers that are just starting out and don't have the investors (or maybe not even an entire collection yet) to participate in a runway show.  So while the wonderful Tumblr fashion editors do what they do best, I will showcase some smaller independent designers that I think deserve some star attention as well.

I will choose from apparel, jewelry, handbags, shoes and evening wear.  If there is a category that you are particularly interested in, please let me know and I will find it for you.  I'm cheers-ing my morning coffee to a glorious fashion week!
