I'm not going to lie, I don't entirely know how to feel right now. Huh.
I think I'm going to need to digest that for a while.
However! One thing I did immediately feel, simply because I wasn't expecting it, was absolute blind panic when, just at the end of the list of consequences, there was a little note saying 'April has left your laboratory'. Complete panic. I love April! I love teatime with her and Lettice! Darling, I know you have a mission, but please come back! I'll help you kill more masters! Any masters you like! I promise!
And then! Then. 24 hours later, during the proper rewarding scene, she snuck me a note saying she's willing to come back, and I about collapsed in blind relief. Oh thank Salt. Oh, don't do that to me.
I'm not going to lie, I had half a second, on thinking that I'd lost her for good, where I regretted completing the ambition. Because. Life's goals and all of that, yes, but apparently I really will pass on fame, fortune and reward just to have the chance to spend afternoons in my lab with my two ladies watching them having fun together making things that go boom. It's the little things, you know? Life's about the little things.
So, yes. I have completed an ambition. And it apparently did not cost me one of my fondest friends, so all is yet well with the world!
