Sleepy brained but all I'm thinking about is Nico stealing Percy's clothes and Percy taking Nico's jewelry. Just the two mixing their styles so much until it becomes normal to see Nico wearing a blue pullover and Percy wearing rings and studded cuffs

Head over heels D3rlord, he’s seen the good the bad the ugly and considers himself part of everything negative in the universe. He remembers the terrible things he’s done, how it affected the people in his life. He’s incredibly lonely and he knows it’s his fault, he’s seen all the routes he could have taken all the things he could have said to keep people close to him, to help his friends. And he morns the loss of all those relationships, and yet when Avery tries and perseveres to find him. It puts all his fears to rest, this good person is looking for him. He’s spent time, energy, and his health all in danger to meet D3r.

Avery is a good person and by extension believes D3rlord is a good person, D3r knows this because Avery sees the best in people and sees the best in him, and while D3r knows he could never live up to the idea of what Avery has in his head of him, he’s still glad that a real person wants to talk to him, wants to find him. And make sure he’s ok. Which is why he’s head over heels, he is willing to extinguish his existence so Avery could live another day, with the knowledge that Avery loves him back.

Sorry guys I was gone for a bit and haven’t drawn much, I got absorbed with writing and drafting. I do have some drawing ideas and the ones I promised so I’ll cook it up a bit.

Anyone else when they picture the monster form of the Doctor from The Freak Circus they just see The Long Quiet from the Slay the Princess?

Because I feel like it’s close enough to bird for him to act a bit like one, but monstrous enough for him to scary, y’know? Any thoughts?

I love how despite Tomura being able to kill without hesitation he still has enough empathy to actually care for what other people want and actively remember those things — like when compress wanted sushi in season 6; or Himiko who didn’t want to have a villain name; I know this is like basic knowledge but it makes me happy we can see him being simply human

I don't know if there's any particular species "rules" for expies cause I believe they're just cloned?? Even if there isn't, I'm gonna stick with the original idea with shades of gray/black with the fur and orange/yellow eyes— one thing I already have in mind is giving them a pink nose and black speckles on said nose and pawpads,, also obligatory whiskers because they are hybrids of multiple mammals after all (although I might just give all expies whiskers)

Maybe I could try basing patterns off of a border Collie if it'd be easy to do in only grays

Rambling about Vulcans

I love how the spiritual center of Vulcan society is the pursuit of logic. I love this agnostic/atheist approach to religion because that’s what it is, and I especially love how it’s clearly not a perfect belief system.

I feel that a lot of atheists have this idea that if theistic beliefs completely disappeared the world would become like a utopian society, and in many ways it would. Unfortunately, it’s been clear from the jump that Vulcans have a massive superiority complex, and share a collective shame over being “Vulcan” enough, with a penchant of being overly prideful.

They have illogically moralized logic as a concept. “If I’m not Vulcan enough I’m a bad person.” It doesn’t even matter if what they did from emotion harmed anyone. Acting on emotions is shameful.

Then you have the various sects of Vulcan spirituality. You have the Logic Extremist, who justify acts of terrorism as the logical conclusion to keep Vulcan culture pure and unchanged by outside influences. You have the Kolinar Monks and Nuns who dedicate their lives to eradicating all emotions from themselves. Then you have the Vulcans without logic who want to express emotions.

A lot of fans seem to forget that it is completely realistic for Vulcans to act on a spectrum. Because they seem to forget that logic is a spiritual practice for them.

There are going to be individuals who take logic extremely seriously and others who may be a bit more relaxed. Like how every major religion has a dogmatic view and a progressive view.

I have two favorite examples of this.

T’Pring’s parents to start with. You have the mother who expects everything to be traditional and done perfectly to the smallest detail. She expects her children to express zero emotion no matter how cutthroat her criticisms are. Then the father who is so obviously happy to be on the Enterprise, loves the food, and is terrified of upsetting his wife.

This father lets his children smile in the house, as a treat, if the mother isn’t around.

T’Pring also seems to struggle with suppressing emotions in regard to her mother. This woman is an essentially a physiotherapist for Vulcans who have committed crimes from a lack of emotional control, AND SHE IS STRUGGLING.

My personal favorite is V’Lar from Enterprise. V’Lar is warm, kind, and even makes a joke at the dinner table. T’Pol who is much stricter in practice is horrified.

I guess what I’m trying to say is if you want to write a Vulcan but feel like it would be too difficult, go ahead and go for it. Because there’s no true pure logic Vulcans. They all have personalities and their personal journey with logic is going to be unique to them.
