Hey everyone, I've got another question for you!
So, as I've been rereading the books, skimming wiki pages, and remembering details naturally, I've come to a few realizations.
1) At least for the first few series (PJO and HoO) deaths are kinda cheaply used. Most deaths are: characters introduced that same book (Zoë Bianca Lee Michael), characters who have been around but haven't appeared enough to get that much of reaction out of the reader (Beckendorf Silena Ethan), or actually meaningful deaths (Luke Leo for a second Jason)
2) Rick was kinda messed up for having two of his only prominent poc characters in the first series (Beckendorf and Ethan) killed off in the same book.
So, I bring this up because I'm of two minds. I want to either 1) make each subsequent death more meaningful by developing each character better before their death or 2) just not kill them off and figure shit out from there.
(This will not apply to Luke though. He kinda has to die and also I don't like him so 🤷♂️)
Honestly, leaving some characters alive would make certain characters, exp. Leo and Piper, more interesting relationships with their half-siblings. Maybe keeping Will’s brothers alive would help him not be a dick! (jk but also not really)
But keeping characters alive would cheapen the story and stakes.
So I ask you all
Should I keep characters alive or better develop them so their deaths hit harder?
Keep them alive! This is fanfiction! We need more character interactions!
Kill them! Stories need stakes! (but make them more fleshed out first)
do you think nico ever found out the reason that pushed percy to accept the prophecy and all that came with it was actually him and wanting to keep him safe. does he know percy decided to right after he just saw thalia avoid the prophecy and pass it down to percy. do you think it made him realize that percy maybe cares about him way more than he initially thought.

Percy Jackson was bored. That was probably a bad thing to say, especially at his grandfather’s funeral, but that didn’t make it less true. Besides, the old man had been a huge dick, so really, he was being polite in only calling this whole ordeal boring. But, you know, don’t speak ill of the dead and all that.
He took a sip of his water and grimaced. He kept forgetting there was cucumber in it, because of course his grandfather would arrange for a final ‘fuck you’ to his least liked grandson after he croaked. Well jokes on you old man, Percy would get to leave after this, while your ass was worm food.
Percy heaved a sigh, loosening his tie ever so slightly.
Worst of all though, he was stuck at the kids table. He was 18! That was pretty much an adult, but no, gotta sit with the little kids. And not even his many (many) cousins that were around his age, the actual kids. At least the seat next to him was empty—
The chair moved, a pale olive hand pulling it backwards. Percy’s eyes followed, moving from chair, to hand, up an expensive looking three piece suit—that made his rental look even more ill-fitting in comparison—before settling on long, dark curls half pulled back, what remained hanging loose like silk and framing an angelic face.
“Hope you don’t mind,” the man said, a smirk alighting on plush pink lips. His voice was pleasant, with a faint accent Percy couldn’t place. He was definitely older than Percy, but not nearly his mom’s age. Looked about the age Luke had been, when he’d died.
The man raised a dark brow, questioning, eyes that were so dark they seemed black lighting up with faint amusement—and Percy realized he hadn’t replied.
“N-not at all,” Percy managed to say with the minimum of stammering. His eyes still locked onto the older man’s form as he took a seat. The man flashed him a smirk, noticing his staring, and Percy quickly grabbed his water and took a sip as an ill-thought distraction. It didn’t quench his thirst.
“Family?” Percy asked, his voice faint.
The man snorted, another smirk curling his lips.
“No.” Percy’s heart skipped a beat. “I’m the undertaker. Just came to… pay my respects. And you?”
“He, he was my grandfather…”
“Hmm. I’d say, ‘sorry for your loss’, but…” He trailed off, dark eyes roving Percy’s features hungrily, before he leaned in and whispered: “I don’t think you’d appreciate that, would you?”
Percy froze, heat rising in his guts and settling on his cheeks. Oh no, he thought to himself as the man chuckled, he’s hot.

Nico getting his first tattoo and piercings at like 15 and just getting more after that. By the time he's 18 he has half a sleeve, a few facial and body piercings as well as a tongue piercing.
And then just him dragging Percy to one of his tattoo appointments one day as a sort of bonding experience and Percy getting curious enough to get his own tattoos and piercings. The two eventually get a few shared tattoos that they've dedicated to their friends as well as their family and eventually one that is inspired by the other.
I just love Nico and Percy with tattoos ❤❤

i just struggled with my phone because it wasn't reading my sim card but I finally got it to work again
I feel like in a high school setting/mortal au Jason would be the kinda dude where you meet him and at first think that hes sweet but hangs with the athletes and more popular crowd. like hes athletic, hes charming, hes attractive and you assume hes fairly popular. But then you get to know him and hes actually a huge nerd and all his friends are weirdos and outcasts. In canon he didnt actually go to wilderness school but Hera must have needed a reason for him to be there so that ppls memories weren’t confused. So lets say in a mortal au he actually did go to wilderness school and and was in fact an outcast himself until puberty hit like a truck and now hes the jocky blonde guy who hangs out with the kids who smoke in between class

Ok we all agree on the Nico stealing Percy's clothes but what about percico living together and Nico having to wash their clothes cause Percy steals certain garments of clothes from Nico and Nico getting so tired of buy new clothes that he not only hides those articles of clothed but he sticks close to the washer and drier while Percy stands to the side pouting.
