Angel has little Husk sitting on his hip, Husk purring softly, resting his head on Angel’s shoulder. Angel hums softly as he walks around the kitchen, trying to coax the regressor to sleep- Husk usually insistent on fighting sleep everytime.
Husk is just about asleep in his caregiver’s arms when Niffty, also regressed, walks up to Angel, her voice alone being enough to snap him back into the fight against sleep.
Angel sighs, but smiles softly at Niffty. “What’s up, Nif?”
“I wanna bake,” Niffty murmurs, tilting her head all the way up to look at Angel.
Angel hesitates a little, but sighs again. “You know what, why not. What do you want to bake?” Angel says.
“Cookies!” Niffty exclaims cheerfully.
“Shh, Nif. Husk’s trying to sleep,” Angel murmurs gently. “But we can make some cookies,”
Niffty lets out a quiet cheer, now careful not to wake up the other (very sleepy) little anymore than he already is.
Angel starts to get the ingredients he needs- the basic stuff you need to make cookies, such as butter, milk, eggs, and more- as well as grabbing a couple cans of pumpkin puree.
Niffty watches him with excited wide-eyes, and Angel lifts her up and sits her on the counter.
Angel lifts Niffty onto the counter, and Niffty sits there happily, just excited that Angel said yes to baking.
Angel helps Niffty crack an egg, and helps her mix, Niffty making sure to wipe away the mess like she always insists on doing.
Niffty almost tries to get a cookie as soon as they’re out of the oven, but Angel gently grabs her hand to stop her. “You’ve got to let them cool, baby,” Angel scolds gently.
Husk begins to wake up again as the cookies have finally cooled, looking around, sleepy and confused.
“Hi, baby.” Angel says gently, kissing Husk’s cheek. “You’re okay, just in the kitchen with me and Niffty.”
Husk yawns again, his head yet again settling on Angel's shoulder.
Angel smiles softly, breaking off a small piece of cookie for Husk. “Do you want to try this, Husk?” Angel asks the little gently, and the sleepy cat sinner lets Angel give him a piece, Husk humming softly, seemingly enjoying it before swallowing and going back to sleep.
ATEEZ had decided to go shopping during a weekend everyone was off. Nobody had a schedule that Saturday -something incredibly rare in the life of an idol- so they’d taken the day easy and relaxed for a bit. The littles had regressed, Mingi felt less on edge, and everyone’s morning had been very calm and healing. At some point, Wooyoung had suggested everyone go thrift shopping with him and that’s exactly what they did.
“‘She mine on my craft ‘til I Ender?’ What does that even mean?” Yeosang blinked. Wooyoung laughed behind him, pulling another shirt from a rack and holding it over his torso.
“Found this one.” Wooyoung chirped, looking down at the text that read: ‘I love my rockin’, rollin’ grandma’ with a stock image of a goose printed on it. “Weird, huh?”
Seonghwa laughed, shoulders bouncing a bit. Thrift stores had some of the most interesting clothes you’d ever find, and these shirts were no exception. He looked though a rack of shirts, trying to find the next funny one when he was interrupted; He felt a hand hugging at his blouse. Seonghwa turned around to see Little!Hongjoong peering at him with large, spacey eyes and pouty lips. He was wearing the hoodie that he’d come into the store with, but now had a large black hat with metal stars on it on top of his blonde hair.
The little murmured something, pointing to the hat with his other hand.
“Oh? Did you find something you like, bubba?” Seonghwa asked sweetly, grabbing Hongjoong’s hand in his.
“Pwetty hat.” Hongjoong mumbled. He pulled away and put the sleeve of his hoodie in his mouth. Seonghwa pulled his hand back and smiled gently.
“Yeah, we can get that. It’s very pretty hat, baby.” Seonghwa nodded, pulling the hat back for a moment and kissing Hongjoong’s forehead before putting the hat back on. Hongjoong giggled before running off to find Jongho, who was trying on jackets.
Little!Jongho had on an oversized bomber jacket and was twirling a little bit in front of a mirror when Hongjoong decided to sneak up on him and scare him.
“Boo!” Hongjoong yelled a little too-loudly. Jongho jumped and yelled, nearly falling into a rack of clothes.
“Ahh! You scared me, Joongie.” Jongho pouted. Hongjoong gave the maknae a hug and nuzzled his face closer to his neck.
“Sowwy…” He mumbled. “What’cha got?” He asked curiously, tugging at Jongho’s jacket.
“Is fancy jacket. I really like it. Do you like it?” Jongho asked, twirling again so that Hongjoong could see it. Hongjoong nodded happily, clapping while his big headspace brother twirled happily in his brand new clothes.
It was getting colder because of autumn. The air was chillier and Jongho had found himself both in and out of headspace looking for the right kind of jacket; Nothing thin like a cardigan, but not as heavy as a winter coat.
This, he thought, was it. It was perfect, fluffy around his neck and on the inside but leather-y outside. Very stylish too, he’d say.
A voice rang out, interrupting the two of them; “Boys! Let’s pay for our things, come on.” It was Seonghwa.
Hongjoong grabbed Jongho’s hand and rushed over to the cash registers, where the others had placed their items on the counter. Jongho shrugged off his jacket and placed it on top of Yeosang’s Minecraft shirt but Hongjoong didn’t budge.
“Baby? You’ve gotta pay for your hat. Let’s put it on the counter.” San reminded, watching as the clerk scanned the tags of everyone’s items and waited for the hat on Hongjoong’s head.
The little suddenly looked sad. “Oh. Bye-bye hat…” Hongjoong muttered, tearing up a little bit at the corners of his eyes. He handed over the hat. The others snickered a bit and Yunho wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
Mingi nudged the little leader, pointing towards the cashier who smiled kindly at them. “Joongie, look! They’re scanning it now, it’s not gonna go ‘bye-bye’. It’s yours.”
“Mines?”
“Yeah, yours.” Wooyoung confirmed. The cashier handed the hat back to the group and San put the hat back on the leader’s head, instantly brightening up the little’s mood. When Jongho’s jacket was scanned, Mingi helped the other little into the sleeves (because kiddos can be so, so clumsy sometimes!)
“You look very pretty, Joongie.” Jongho nodded approvingly, tapping the brim of the hat gently.
Hongjoong’s grinned widely, tugging at his hat. “Pwetty.” He agreed, tugging at Jongho’s sleeve before giggling and holding his hand. Their caregivers ushered them along and out of the store with bags and bags in hand. All in all, they’d had a very pretty and pretty successful visit to the thrift store.

Over the two months that Angel's been caring for Husk when he regresses, he's become a lot more comfortable. At the beginning, Husk was nervous, quiet all the time, scared of Angel deciding this was too weird. They've both come a long way since then. Husk isn't scared to be a little challenging anymore and Angel knows how to deal with it when he is.
And they're getting married! So that's great. It comforts Husk that Angel obviously can't find it that weird, otherwise he wouldn't want to marry him.
Often, Husk finds that Angel's acting more childish than he is, even though he's the one regressed. Through taking care of Husk, Angel gets to heal his inner child. It's not a one way thing.
With Husk being comfortable comes difficulty, though.
“C'mon, kitty.” Angel attempts to wrestle Husk back towards the bed for the thousandth time that night. Every time Husk spots something that is a lot more interesting than the new matching pajamas Angel bought for them, and it goes wrong from there. “At least lemme get some pants on ya. Ya can't be walkin’ round like a wild animal.”
Husk huffs. The duplo block he'd found makes its way to his mouth, and he offers a long-suffering sigh when Angel takes it off him. Husk's headspace is young- younger than even he thought it would be- meaning most things go straight in his mouth. He's curious, okay? Angel always takes them away and he can never understand why.
“Just say you hate the clothes I got ya.” Angel says, but he's obviously teasing. He's quick to help Husk into the plaid trousers he bought him (red and black, Husk's favourite) while he's got him contained.
Even though Husk knows he's joking, he shakes his head. He's a little wobbly as his feet get eased off of the ground one by one, one paw going to hold on Angel's shoulder to steady himself. “Don't.” He protests.
He's always a little insecure about his voice. Deep and gruff doesn't exactly fit his whole toddler headspace when he's like this, but it's not like Husk's going to force it all high pitched. That would just make him feel more weird. Speech isn't something regressed Husk does a whole lot; it's easier to just avoid it altogether. Angel can read his non verbal cues well enough anyway. Most of the time.
Angel tightens the strings around Husk's waist. “Oh, ya don't, do ya?” He smiles. He leans back to admire his fiancé in all his wriggly, tired glory, now shirtless in just the plaid trousers. Cute. Husk blushes. “Top, or you goin’ shirtless tonight, handsome?”
Husk's blush deepens and he turns his head away slightly. This is one of the few times when he's grateful for his fur- it dampens the blush. “No top.” He tells Angel, which is hardly surprising. He's got a strange disliking for clothes when he's regressed.
Unsurprisingly, Angel goes with it. There's not much else he can do when Husk's got his mind set on something.
Now they're both in the pajamas, (well, Husk in the trousers) and Husk takes a moment to appreciate Angel. He hadn't noticed how the red in Angel's pink and red plaid matches Husk's perfectly, how they're obviously meant to be a matching set. Adult Husk is definitely going to appreciate this a lot more. Even when he pretends he doesn't.
“You ready for movie marathon, whiskers?” Angel asks, and Husk doesn't know when his fiancé settled on the bed in the little nest of blankets and pillows they gathered but he obviously did. And the movie marathon! Despite his grumpy exterior, Husk's excited. “C'mere.”
Angel lifts an arm and Husk slots himself into the space there, beside him, back lent against the pillows propped against the headboard. All the films they've picked are obviously child friendly; Finding Nemo followed by Rapunzel (Angel's choice) and something about dogs that Husk doesn't remember the name of. None of them are films he's seen before. Why would he have ever indulged in child cartoons?
Husk's childhood wasn't bad, it just wasn't much of being a child, either. He had to grow up fast for reasons he doesn't like to think about. Simple stuff like playing tea parties and watching cartoons isn't something he got much of. That's probably why he's so shockingly bad at playing now.
He is excited, though. Angel switches Finding Nemo onto the TV on their wall and tucks Husk into the blankets and Husk finally lets his mind shut off properly.
Halfway through Rapunzel, he gets tired. The films are better than he thought they would be- though that is probably his young headspace talking- and it's only 10 in the evening, but he's knocked out. When Husk regresses, he's more low energy than normal, and that's really saying something.
He doesn't sleep. Instead, he settles properly with his head in Angel's lap and watches the TV sideways, chewing on one finger. Angel replaces it with a pacifier. They're the proper adult sized ones so they don't hurt Husk's mouth, but he's already chewed through two in the few months he's been regressing around his fiancé. He likes having something in his mouth but his sharp teeth aren't exactly made for soft silicone.
“Is someone gettin’ sleepy?” Angel asks when he notices Husk's eyes dropping. Stubbornly, Husk shakes his head. “Alright, then. Coulda fooled me.”
During the dog movie- Husk's now learnt that it's the Secret Life of Pets- he falls asleep. Angel doesn't wake him. Husk slightly registers being shifted and tucked more securely into the blankets, and then Angel's moving away and oh my god he's leaving me he's leaving me he's leaving me-
Angel returns seconds later, before Husk's panic can even rouse him properly from his sleep, with a proper thick quilted blanket and Husk's favourite stuffed bear. “Shh, baby.” Angel mumbles. Husk listens.
Before, that probably would've been a meltdown. Husk's never had abandonment issues, but they're a real thing with Angel because he loves his fiancé so much. Losing him would be like hell all over again. That's something he can't risk.
Disrupting his thoughts, Angel tucks him into the quilted blanket with his stuffed bear and switches the TV off. He's gone for a few more moments, but Husk lets it go because he can hear him moving around. His ears swivel to tune in the sound of Angel humming lowly.
“...So cute, ain'tcha? Sleepy little kitty. Look atcha.” Husk definitely missed the beginning of whatever Angel was praising him about, but he purrs and leans thankfully into the touch when he's pulled into his fiance's arms anyway. This is one of the few times he accepts compliments, and even then he doesn't do it well.
Angel rubs his bare back. For once, Husk's sleep is peaceful and undisturbed. If he had to be thankful for one thing, it would be this.
Thank you for reading!! I'll try and participate in a few more days if I have the time <3 my requests are also open!!
All Saiki wanted was coffee jelly. More specifically, coffee jelly from the new cafe that specialised in coffee jelly- a previously unheard of concept.
The outside was detailed with pink and green, echoing Saiki’s own signature style. Beyond those sleek glass doors was the most well acclaimed coffee jelly Saiki had never heard of. Despite that, there was no queue when he walked in. Maybe basing an entire cafe on one specific dessert wasn’t the best business idea… regardless, Saiki strode forward; walking toward the display case that the precious jelly was held.
He paid for his coffee jelly and sat down to enjoy it.
“Oh. Oh wow.”
Saiki said aloud. The cashier smiled knowingly at him.
The coffee jelly was unlike any he had ever consumed before, its taste transcending expectation completely. Saiki was an atheist, but in that moment he truly knew God.
Once he had finished and was stood outside the cafe, Saiki took out his phone. His friends had made a group chat that Saiki had not interacted with once, but for this cafe? Saiki would do anything.
Saiki: there’s a cafe you guys should check out. it’s the coffee jelly supreme
Nendo: okaay buddy!
Multiple people are typing…
Saiki turned off his phone. Then he walked back into the cafe to order another coffee jelly.
Not many things set off Wen Junhui. At least, not when he's big. Sure, he's got a mild temper but who doesn't? And he'd never take it out on anyone, ever! Junhui may be awkward and odd at times, but he was never, ever mean. If you asked the rest of Seventeen, Junhui rarely even raised his voice at them.
When he feels little, that's a whole other story; He's so very sensitive and the rest of Seventeen have to tread very, very when caring for him or they'll have a crying little on their hands for the next six hours. And boy, does he have an attitude sometimes!
Little!Junhui was having a wonderful day so far with no tears -much to his caregivers' delight. Mingyu made him breakfast, Seungcheol carried him around all morning, Minghao helped him brush his teeth, Wonwoo brought him to a pet shelter to look at the kitties, Jeonghan made him a cup of warm apple cider, and Joshua took him on a walk by the river.
And now Seokmin sat next to Junhui, yapping about what to eat for dinner while Junhui colored in a coloring book. Junhui wasn't exactly listening to his caregiver and was much more focused on coloring inside the lines of his Moomin picture.
His grip on the crayon was so strong but he didn’t notice, completely focused on the task at hand. He followed the black outline carefully down and up and around the eyes so that he’d stay in the lines.
And then he felt it: the purple crayon he'd been using snapped in his hands and the other half fell onto the page. Seokmin quieted down at the sound, eyes nervously scanning Junhui to see what had happened. The damage was already done, though.
The tears came quickly, before he could even think about calming Junhui down. Seokmin called for the other members in a panic, shushing Junhui and holding his head against his chest. But the little kept wailing, face twisted up and upset.
The other members poked their heads in to see what was going on, frowning at the scene.
"He's crying! What do I do?" Seokmin’s voice was hushed but unstable, eyes wide. He’s never had to deal with crying Junhui before, not like this.
"What do you mean 'what do I do'? You didn't think to maybe give him a hug or like... talk to him?!" Seungkwan snarked, narrowing his eyes at Seokmin.
"I panicked!" Seokmin defended. “I gave him a hug… kinda.”
“Looks like he broke one of his crayons.” Hansol observed, nodding his head towards the half of a purple crayon clutched in Junhui’s fist.
"Oh, my lovely baby. My sweet boy, it's okay! It's just a crayon!" Minghao soothed. “And this is a lovely moomin you’ve got here. I love the purple, is it a special kind of moomin?” He asked, voice soft. Soonyoung knelt next to both of them, holding his sleeve towards the tear streaks running down Junhui’s cheeks.
“Mm. Jus’ pretty.” Junhui whispered as Soonyoung wiped away his tears.
"Why was he coloring a moomin purple anyways?"
"Who knows. It's Jun." Mingyu shrugged, setting his attention back on the sniffling baby in front of them.
Junhui whined and tossed the crayon halves at Mingyu’s leg, clearly upset with the sly comment. Mingyu laughed at the little’s lashing out, but Seungcheol quietly reprimanded him for it.
“Hey! Hey, we do not throw things when we’re upset, Junnie. Stop that.” Seungcheol’s voice was soft but stern and Junhui pouted, nodding bashfully and turning his attention to the crayon halves on the floor.
“Didn’t Jihoon buy you another set of crayons for your birthday a few months ago, buddy?” Wonwoo wondered quietly, nudging Junhui’s shoulders.
Junhui perked up at that. “Huh?”
Jihoon’s eyes widened. “Oh! I did, didn’t I? Since you were so well-behaved during filming!” He recalled, folding his arms and nodding his head.
Seungkwan got up from where he was sat and came back with a pack of sparkly crayons, waving them at the little with a smile. “See, Junnie? They’re all sparkly too, there’s definitely gonna be a purple one in there.”
“Ooh!” Junhui babbled, reaching excitedly for the crayon pack with both hands. Seungkwan opened the pack for him and gently laid down the crayon box, handing Junhui a sparkly violet color with a grin.
Junhui gurgled something that sounded like “thanks” and got right back to scribbling.
They watched, crowded around as Junhui hummed to himself, focusing his hardest on drawing inside of the lines.
Vernon picked up the halves of the old crayon and held them out. “We can actually melt this one down and make it a new crayon.” Vernon put the crayon in his pocket, nodding. “We just need a wax melter and a mold. I can do it.”
“Nice!” Seokmin high-fived him and the two resumed looking on at the toddler scribbling in his book, Junhui sticking his tongue out in concentration.
After a few minutes and a few more crayons, Junhui jumped up with his coloring book in hand and held it up. “Pwetty!”
“Oh, Junnie! You colored in the lines, I’m so proud of you, sweetness.” Joshua clapped softly, eyes crinkling up as he grinned.
Jeonghan looked at the drawing and nodded approvingly. “Everybody clap.” He demanded seriously, something he tended to do when big Junhui deserved praise. The others followed suit, clapping and cheering for their littlest one.
“It’s so pretty!”
“Good job, Junnie!”
Junhui got shy and hid his face in the book pages when Chan dropped down to his level and hugged the little close to his chest. Junhui liked how his hyungs could take a bad situation and make him smile. Not even broken crayons could deter his caregivers or their talented little guy.
Husk is cleaning out the arts and crafts supplies like Charlie told him to do, when he notices all of the broken crayons in the crayon bin were gone. Not replaced, just…gone.
That was a bit odd and made him raise an eyebrow, but maybe someone had planned on putting in new ones later or forgot to replace them. In the end, it wasn’t really his business to make a fuss about, so he left it be, not even finding it worthwhile to mention it to anyone.
When mere minutes after a crayon breaks it disappears, Husk begins to become interested. It doesn’t make much sense to him for someone to just want broken crayons, but it’s not the absolute weirdest thing he’s ever heard of.
But he can't keep himself from wondering what the fuck is going on.
Husk is walking into the room where Charlie keeps the art supplies when he notices a little Vaggie holding a small handful of broken crayons. Vaggie makes a little surprised noise, looking like she's getting ready to bolt out of the room, as if she's been caught in some horrible crime.
“Woah, hey kid-” Husk said, gently taking her arm- enough to stop her for now, but not enough to restrain her if she does decide she still wants to run. “What are you doing?”
Vaggie looks up at him like a kicked puppy, and he smiles gently. “You're not in trouble, bug. What's happening, huh? What's all this for?”
“Me and Niffty collecting,” Vaggie murmurs.Husk hums at that.
“Is there a reason for that, or?...”
Vaggie blinks up at him. “Cause no one likes to use them, ‘sides Niffty.”
“And you've been doing all this?” Husk asks.
“Mhm.” Husk hums in acknowledgement.
Yeah, it made sense for Niffty to want the broken crayons, especially if she was regressed as well. Really, he didn't know what else he expected.
“Shopping is soooooo boring!” Little!Yangyang groaned loudly, slumping over the shopping cart in exhaustion and boredom.
How long had they been in the store again? One hour? Two? It certainly felt that long.
“Liu Yangyang, if you don’t behave in this store…” Dejun warned, pushing the shopping cart and gently leading Yangyang’s arms away so that it wouldn’t drag.
Yangyang whined, stomping his foot a little bit in the aisle, gaining the attention from the old lady looking at the shelves nearby. “Wanna go home!” He yelled, throwing a tantrum right there in aisle three.
“Do you want to eat or not? We’re getting ingredients so that your Ba can make dinner for you. That’s right, for you. So, can you please sit still for me?” Dejun’s eye was practically twitching with annoyance as Yangyang shook his head.
“Don’ wanna! Wanna go home! Wanna go home!”
Dejun was going to lose it. As much as he loved his little guy, Yangyang was quite the handful sometimes. He would definitely be leaving the little at home with Hendery next time, that’s for sure.
“Why don’t we play the quiet game?” Dejun asked softly, forcing a smile. “Hm? Whoever makes a sound first loses and whoever stays quiet until we get home to the Ba and the others gets…” Dejun looked around the aisles for something -anything- to bribe the little with before gasping. “A Kinder egg. Yeah, wouldn’t you like that, Yangyang?”
Yangyang gasped loudly, nodding and placing a hand over his mouth. He loved Kinder eggs! They reminded him of his childhood and going to the store with his mom in Germany and getting chocolates as a treat.
“Okay, Junnie!” Yangyang beamed, as if he’d never been upset in the first place. He stood up straighter and stopped throwing a tantrum, making Dejun roll his eyes.
And Yangyang stayed true to the rules of the game. He stayed totally quiet, walking around the store and never yelling or even wandering off. It was great, because Dejun got to focus on finding the ingredients and finished shopping much sooner than he’d expected.
The two of them approached the checkout lane, placing items onto the counter. Dejun sneakily placed the Kinder egg on the conveyor belt with the other groceries, so that Yangyang wouldn’t know he’d won yet. The little wasn’t paying much attention, only looking at the little cartons of banana milk in the small fridges by the register.
After the two paid, Dejun had started walking back to WayV’s dorm with Yangyang in hand, grocery bags in the other. They’d gotten home quietly and Dejun started to miss his baby’s bright voice, not used to the silence.
As they approached the door, Dejun stopped the two of them in their tracks and patted Yangyang’s head. “Here you go, for listening so well. You won the quiet game, little man.” Dejun snickered, fishing through the bag to hand the little the treat. Yangyang looked at it with practically stars in his eyes, but he didn’t say ‘thank you’ like he usually did. That was weird; Yangyang was usually a very polite little boy.
“Yangie?”
The little shook his head, not saying a word. He put the Kinder egg in his pocket and nodded at Dejun, little eyes sparkling brightly at his caregiver. Dejun thought for a moment, wondering why Yangyang was still quiet -and then it hit him.
“Oh, boy.” Dejun breathed out, fumbling with his keys and unlocking the apartment door. The little hadn’t realized that Dejun was serious and that the game was over. Finally, Yangyang was quiet and content but now Dejun had a bigger issue on his hands: ending the seemingly never-ending quiet game!
A/N: Will be posting #14 and #15 later today if i can!! Stay tuned!!
