i think they would met trought some bet made by his friends, or by his own curiosity in her... i mean, we know dave actually had a thing for religious girls (IF ANYONE HAVE THIS PHOTO THAT HAS THAT WRITTEN SEND MEEE), so i think he would obviously just be so naturally attracted to her and for her a little too short flowery dresses. And he would just anoy her every little chance he gets. She is already known in the city for being the pastor's daughter, known for always being very kind and sweet to everyone, given that the city is small and extremely conservative and religious.
She will probably distribute some flyers by the street, house by house, and by her constant presence, it's clear that he has memorized the time that she always leaves the flyers at her door; and every time she leaves the pamphlet, he makes a point of opening the door and trying to flirt or annoy her, even if she tells him to go to hell...
I would go on and on about this, like, she would have the biggest Catholic guilt of all time, her parents would be a little too controlling, Dave would probably have false rumors of Satanism around town, and he would purposefully wear pentagrams around his neck just to provoke old ladies in their yards, and he would DEFINITELY climb up to her bedroom window at night just to see her when they were mad at each other because of a dumb argument. And he would have an EGO that would go through the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!
