i cant be the only one who finds it suspect both his tweets/this response allude to “inside sources” in the mod team that support his side of the story/claim the data was changing up until the last minute but he has yet to name any names. i understand why someone would want to stay out of drama and with the minecraft speedrunning moderator team being that large it wouldn’t surprise me extensively if they didn’t come to a unanimous conclusion on his run but like. he’s using specifically vague wording to make it seem like there’s a lot of interal conflict and thus ultimately undermine any conclusion the team presents. in fact, his reliance on creating an emotional narrative that many fans predisposed to taking his side will likely believe makes it seems like he has no objective counterarguement. his allusion to the criminal justice system was in extremely poor taste as well. he is comparing being accused of cheating in minecraft speedrunning to being wrongfully convicted in (presumably) the US justice system, where one is due to statistical analysis and the other due to a fundamentally broken system and instutuionalized racism. the two should not remotely compare, and it’s kind of sickening he is opportunistically taking advantage of the current atmosphere of reform movements to create empathy by association for his case. for the millionth time, i wish he’d be more objective. i am curious of the conclusion outside sources will come to, though even hiring primarily professional staticians might not be good enough if they don’t have a comprehensive knowledge on how java rng works/affects calculations.
im trying So Hard not to analyze his post or like. take it as any sort of ‘evidence’ since it’s all words n no facts but thats the Thing. like.
he hasnt actually, genuinely raised a Thing to defend himself that isnt emotional or dependent on some sort of clout, fame, or bias against him. its all been emotional. i cant really say if its intentionally to appeal to those who care for him and therefore will think emotionally and side with him but it Feels like That a Lot. the comparison to the justice system really feels in that area. why in the hell would he mention something so emotionally jarring to people and So Currently an issue. i dont get it
and the Inside Source thing is driving me fucking mad. like it was one of the First things he claimed that multiple mods were contacting him and were Against the investigation but then WHO? geosquare mentions it being unanimous multiple times and ive dug through the social media of Multiple mods to see if it could feasibly be them but like. i havent seen anything??? why doesnt he jus mention them theyre Already public you can go see them on the website And many of them are interacting with either dream or the java mc speedrun twitter account.
