🌟 Clever Boyfriends 🌟
So my boyfriend is really smart
Above average smart. Very much so. I know he's smarter than me (and most people) - not by a whole lot, it's mainly when it comes to math and science. But i also know he's smarter than me when it comes to politics and world news (he actually reads the news - something ive been trying to do more :/). With that knowledge, i know this might sound petty or haughty or something of the like, but it really comforts me on the rare occasion that i know something he doesn't. I have a tendency to just assume he knows the answer to whatever i ask, and it's nice every once in awhile to know something he doesn't and be able to explain it to him - for example, he didn't know what heteronormativity was (assuming everyone around you is straight before actually finding out if they are). He didn't even know about like-concepts, such as white people's tendency to assume all black people like black celebrities. And of course it's from all of this that stereotypes originate. Anyway, it's just comforting to know that he doesn't always know everything.
