honestly she’s not one to celebrate much but her family did a cute little close christmas, just the three of them, before her mother died, so she associates that with nostalgia and more warm feelings?? post aperture, she genuinely forgets holidays exist. if she did know, she wouldn’t have a favourite because She Is Very Lonely
has chell ever tried to think of wheatleys 'justification' for betraying her? or does she not give a fuck - he betrayed her, who cares why?
of course she has. she’s so lonely, after aperture – she wakes up and sees the stars and wonders about him. she thinks about his situation, not that different from hers; ‘lonely, stuck in a facility that he couldn’t escape, with no one to talk to, for years’ and then so much power in such a short time – sometimes, she thinks she sees why he did it. she thinks she forgives him.
and then she hates herself. she hates him and everything to do with him, hates the fact that she had let herself trust and then let that bond be broken. she wishes the worst on him – to her knowledge, he isn’t sorry at all, and she resents that. she resents that she feels remorse and pity for him when for all she knows he feels absolutely fucking nothing. it fluctuates, but she’s definitely more angry than anything else. her trust, especially post canon, isn’t easy to earn, and he was the one that threw that away. not her.
oh oh oh here's a really fun one. if chell had been put in a core transfer, and it ended up corrupted, what kind of core do you think she would be?
may i introduce you to… tenacity core… this core is fuckin determined, guys. this core gives no shits about any of the other cores and when she gets an idea, she sticks to the idea until it gets done. tenacity was added alongside the intelligence dampening sphere to make the glados unit determined to complete whatever stupid tasks she received. once detached from glados, her goal is to get the fuck out of aperture, and she won’t stop until she does so.
