SMA Task 16 - 20 Years

In twenty years, I'll be almost 35 years old. By this time, I'm hoping to be a writer (or an actress) and married to someone who loves me unconditionally. I'm not sure how many children I'd like to have, but I imagine two or three. I want to live in a nice house, unlike the one I grew up in, and make everyone happy. I don't want to be like my mother. I want to give everyone, including my husband, all the love and attention they deserve. I want to finally be happy with who I am and with the way things happen. I want to live a life worth living.

SMA Task 16 - Journal Entry.

Wow.. Twenty years it’s been. Twenty long years since I’ve been to SMA’s campus. I’m thirty-seven, I remember being seventeen and just.. having fun. I had my ups and my downs, but I never regretted anything. It’s been.. twenty years since the death of Brenden Monroe. I can’t believe it, I still get choked up at times thinking about him, like I remember saying in one of my old journal entries.. he’ll always have a place in my heart. But anyways, I have a daughter and a son, and they are a handful but I love them. I still keep in touch with some people around SMA, like Miranda, Ashley, Nash, and others. And right now, I’ve taken a break from my music career, can you believe I actually made it? It’s crazy. But.. another thing is that I’ve stopped cutting and started eating right. It still creeps up on me but I remember my kids and I don’t feel like doing any of that again. I have the scars and every time I look at them I get a knot in my stomach from all the pain I put myself through, that is the one thing I regretted doing in high school. I finally stopped my sophomore year of college when someone took a photo of me and me being stupid had my wrists not covered and so my parents sent me to reheb.. and I recovered and I’m glad I did. I have no time to do that, I’m a mother and living in a house taking care of my kids.. but one thing I do know is, is that SMA will always be there even if our generation of SMA was the most fucked up.

Journal #9- Me in 20 years.

So, it's been over 20 years since I've written in this journal which is highly funny seeing as I used to obsess over it. I decided that I should probably talk about everything that has happened since we last 'spoke'. Well I went to Yale and studied law. I am now one of the highest paid lawyers in America, I even get more than most male lawyers. Another good thing about my career is I still live in a mansion, though it is vintage and I love it dearly. I also have that pet I've always wanted, well two pets actually, a ragdoll cat, Lolly. And a gorgeous little Chug named Hercules.

Now, let's talk about relationships and children... Well the last time we talked I was still dating the amazingly handsome Ross Gardener, and well, we are now married, which is bloody awesome. And we don't have any kids. Which is actually good in my opinion, from what I can tell having kids can ruin the relationship. And I know for a fact that I would never, ever want to do that. 

Through this whole experience of the crazy thing called life I've wondered what would've happened if I had stayed with Eric... I could've ended up in a completely different situation. Also, I am amazingly still baking now-a-days which is always good, and it helps relieve the stress of my career. I also still write, just not journal entries, I write books on becoming a lawyer and some cookbooks which is pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

I still talk to most of my old friends, such as Cherry, Ash and Holly which is good. Though most of the others I haven't seen since graduation. I actually love my life, a lot more than I used to. I'm able to see a good side to every bad situation and I love that fact that I get up every morning and feel happy about myself and who I am. I'm the one and only, smart, loving, caring, BEAUTIFUL, Zelda Gardener. It's weird saying that. But it's a good weird.

I also have kept in touch with Eric, even though all that shit happened we got over it.

Journal

Honestly, I have no idea what I want in 20 years. I want to be happy, I guess. I want to have a family, with a husband and two kids. One girl, one boy. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do yet, but I know that the one thing I'm sure about is that I want to be happy in life. Hopefully I can still be close with my friends, because I really don't want to lose them.

I also kind of hope my family makes up. I really hate being in between the two parents.
