A Year in the Future
You know, if you had asked me when I was a freshman at St. Mary's, where I would see myself in a few years, I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to tell you that I'd be living in California attending USC, pursuing music. When Ash's "prince," Jack graduated from St. Mary's, and we all were there for him, it was kind of an eye opening experience.
It made me realize that in only a few years, I would be on that stage, graduating with the rest of my class and going off on my own to college. Jack's like a brother to me, really. A brother I've always wanted, but never had - sorry, Ash. A good part about being at USC, is that UCLA and Jack is only a drive away, even if it'll only be like this for one year, and I'll be able to talk to him if I ever need anything. It's great, really.
Then of course there's Ash, and I see her every holiday. Gotta love the family, you know. Come to think of it, I've missed them a lot more than I thought I would. The 'rents, or at least my mom, calls all the time. She is just really nervous about me being so far away - it's cute. Sometimes.
And then, Evelyn. Oh, Evie. I think during high school, we didn't even really... make our relationship official. The day of her graduation, though, I asked her to be mine. It's a big decision, long distance relationships, and a part of me was quite sure she'd say no. I had flowers and everything, but luckily she accepted and needless to say I've been the luckiest guy on earth since that day. I try to visit her and see her as much as possible, which isn't that often when you live so far apart, but I call her and text her and maybe that sounds corny but it's working for us.
Hopefully I'll be able to write again in a few years, and be able to say I've made a top selling single, ha.
