There We stand again, in that hallowed hall. Almost like two strangers. But with a passionate shared past. There We stand again Adorned in Golden Light. On this day of resurrection. Thrown together by fate once more. Looking at each other through clouds of scented smoke. Looking at each other whilst the sun shines upon Us and hearing choirs of Angels sing. HAPPY EASTER! Christ is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!!

So, at the Easter Vigil we attended, we had two people baptized, 5 received into full communion, and one confirmation and it was wonderful and exciting and I’m so happy they came into the Church! 

Then, just as we were beginning the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the incense set the fire alarm off and we had to evacuate the church for a while. In that time, the Sisters and I took selfies with the ever appropriate hashtag #smellsandbells and the dear pastor joyfully agreed to a selfie, provided I send a copy to his aunt who is also a Sister of Mercy!

When it was cleared for us to go back and celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist, it was incredible. Everyone was excited and it was so beautiful. The smell of incense hung in the air (with no more added for the evening), the choir and congregation sung I am the Bread of Life written by Sr. Suzanne Toolan, RSM and the Easter Eucharist was glorious. We were sent out into the night singing Alleluia, Alleluia!
