i totally get what you're saying, but at the same time it does make you feel like your friendship is inadequate. i have been in a 'friendzone' situation and it got to the point where i was told i was a "waste of time after months of effort" because i didn't want to take it further. he didn't get what he wanted and we're no longer friends. that's a pretty shitty feeling too

I mean I liked it a lot and I cried and crap but I don't see the need to obsess so much over it cause it's not THAT great. 

To me most of John Green's books are the same because the characters are so similar, and by the time you get to reading a third book by him or something it's like, "okay, you can try a different personality besides an overly intelligent sixteen year old who talks like no other teenager, and has a very large vocabulary."
