When does Emerald realize that everything that Jaune told her was true? Did she realize it too late?

Emerald stared down at her hands. Hands that had done so many bad things. Stolen so much, hurt so many people... killed so many people...

And now here she was again, helping to hurt someone. A boy, supposedly the reincarnation of that Ozpin or Ozma guy Salem hated. Fuck that excuse, he's a goddamn kid! He's not even as old as she was when Cinder found her, and he's being tortured because of something he had no say in!

And speaking of Cinder...

Actually, Emerald really didn't know what to say about the Fall maiden anymore. She almost died twice, and didn't even seem to care that Emerald was heartbroken and worried to death about her both times! In fact, after she saved her from that Atlas robot doll, she was angry with her!

"All I've ever tried to do was help her! But nothing I do for her is right! Something is always my fault or I didn't do enough!'

Slowly, like a sunrise, Emerald began thinking back to all that she'd done for Cinder. All the pain she caused others for the woman who 'saved' her from the streets of a backwater town in Vacuo. And then how little Cinder did for her in return, all the orders she gave out to be followed, without question, and to the letter.

How... she never really cared about her...

'She's only interested in things that have some kind of value or usefulness to her!'

And just like a sunrise, Emerald's world was revealed to her in a bright new light.

'Look at what Cinder has done! What Salem has done!'

'Are you really okay with just watching as the world burns?!'

'I did care about you. I still do.'

Everything Jaune had said to her at Haven came rushing back to the front of her mind. 'Was he really the one in the wrong?' Like a hammer through a sheet of ice, her vision of Cinder and all of her greatness cracked. And the more she thought about it, the more cracks formed.

Until it finally shattered completely.

Emerald looked back towards the room where the kid was being held.

"...I seriously messed up..."

Hopefully there was still enough time for her to change that and do something right for once...

Weiss’s job

This is for the rosepoint paradox AU that @smh0217 has made. This is his version and not mine. I have my own called the Rosework paradox. And we swapped ideas.

Weiss sighed as she bagged another pair of dust crystals.

Customer:Thank you.

Weiss:Your welcome.

She said politely as the man left. She then laid her arms on the counter and waited a bit. Then suddenly she saw a girl outside running around, she was a bit confused as she saw the girl point this way.

Weiss:What the?

Then suddenly the door was slammed open and Ruby ran in.

Ruby:Weiss! Weiss! Weiss!

Weiss:AH!

Then she was tackled down by the girl and crushed in a strong grip.

Ruby:I cant believe I found you! I missed you so much!

Weiss:h-Hey! What do you think your doing?!

Her boss came in and saw what happened.

Weiss’s boss:Weiss! You can cuddle with your girlfriend when your on break now get back to work!

He slammed the door close making both girls help out before a blue dust vail fell down and dusts spread around the air. Ruby snuffed some into her nose before she gasped.

Weiss:Don’t you da-

BOOM!

The dust exploded a small radius and the two were covered in soot.

Ruby:Hehe sorry.

Ruby was up and looked down and saw Weiss was dazed and laid on the ground.

Weiss:Ugh..... D-Dolt....

She said before fainting. Ruby cheered as she had found her partner and best friend.
