Just finished the series, this part HAD ME CryyyinNNGG. I was rooting for them hardcore. Then after finishing the first movie; Wtffff Samantha. Like ok ? Nah.
He was such a sweetheart, loyal til the end, so understanding-always supportive af. Put her on a pedestal, humble, giving. I think he balanced his career and love life with her well. Like??
Just. 🥲😭😭😣🥹
I get that her character in general is very independent, autonomous, self-first, boss-woman energy, whatever. but damn. I wasn’t expecting Samantha to get married or have kids or anything, but the neighbor bit and her missing her old self felt like it just made her character arc weak / backwards, I guess she came back to herself? But idk. No lol (I still haven’t seen the 2nd movie or new series)
Continue rant: It’d been years. They were together through so much. It felt like the way this ending / wrap up was written more so to get all the girls back “together” in NY, maybe I’m just complaining about their relationship specifically, but their trials, give & take seemed like it grew and went through so many phases of change and overall support from each other.
Lots of give and take and growthhhh. Idc they were my fav, aside from Charlotte’s sorta.
Miranda was never my fav lol, and Carries was just naturally all over the place
Ok that’s all. I needed to let that out. Still team Smith. Rant over :)

I haven’t watched the rest yet. I think that’s enough diving into girlie rom-com’s for a bit.
This was a fun venture, I’ve never watched something like that, full through til the end, my heart wanted to watch something old school & quirky. Something about this show is healing to see the multiple POV’s and experiences of them all and felt like a big one off the to-do list.
I don’t expect anyone to read this but I needed to get this out LMAO
