hey I actually wanna ask something and it's probably very weird but I'm a writer here too but I noticed the things I post lately are getting very little, almost none notes, which is really weird cuz usually something I posted got 200-300 notes but once fic I posted a week ago got 100 and one I posted yesterday didn't even get 20? I don't understand why it's happening and I'm scared if my writng got bad, and it's really demotivating :( do you know something about the Tumblr algorithm or is it me?
honestly all i can ever tell u,, as writer to writer,, if you are proud enough to put out your work then that’s it bb. your most important critic is you. constructive criticism on work personally is okay bc it def does help us grow in our craft,,, but pls don’t ever blame your writing for lack of response fjndjdnd
i hear alot ab the algorithm?? and honestly i’m not sure how it even works,, but according to the concerns from other content creators tumblr’s algorithm is just shit. plus the tags are always wonky; sometimes things show up and sometimes they dont T^T
and i feel you! idk how long you’ve been posting content, but from my experience,, i do have those posts that randomly get 1-300 in a few days, those that take much much longer, and those that stay double digits at best. it’s all okay ;w; writing it is satisfying and there’s no harm in sharing the work so instead of letting that affect me i just am thankful for the numbers that are there and continue writing.
i don’t think there’s ever a consistency w things bc then again school did start, so def there’s a dip in audience, plus the shitty tumblr tags,,,
your writing is your baby pls don’t think it’s your output’s fault,,,, i know you post it bc you’re proud enough to show it so ;w; that’s already a diff kind of satisfying
