Ian & Noah: stepdad and son. son smokes a lot of weed and his stepdad’s just like “yeah whatever you go kid”. that image of “what’re you doing” “teenage rebellion” “fuck yeah stick it to the old people”? that’s them
Sohinki & Lasercorn: two chaotic best friends that chill together. chaos dad and weed uncle. sohin’s chaotic neutral (unless he’s beardless in which case chaotic evil stay away he will bite your hand off) and lasercorn is chaotic evil in general. they do crimes together. crimes against humanity? crimes against cops? crimes against nature? doesn’t matter they’re doing them
Keith & Shayne: two dudes who met through a mutual friend and then ended up becoming even better friends than they are with the other person. not comfortable enough to be naked around each other but comfortable enough to be in nothing but socks. would ride or die for one another for the stupidest reasons. “ayo i need some salad” “aight i’m gonna go 120 in a 75 to get it to you”
Courtney & Joven: baby gay and old gay mentor. joven’s not even gay he just has that kind of wisdom that you’d have to seek out. they jam to lady gaga in their downtime. have definitely bought each other makeup at some occasion. probably unironically use “toodleoo” and “gal friday” and other old-timey lingo to each other. spiritually wearing feather boas at all times
Wes & Mari: aunt and nephew tbh. lax aunt that always buys him candy even though his parents said no candy ever since he got sugar high and destroyed every glass item in the house. wes looks up to her even though she’s like a foot shorter than him. “what do you want to be when you grow up wes” “mari” “(choking back tears) th... that’s fuckin’ sick dude”
Boze & Damien: VERY close cousins. probably got into their phases at the same time as one another. share earbuds but do not share the same taste in music. goth cousin and straight-edge cousin. very bubbly happy boy and tiny girl that would kick your ass in her platforms without hesitation. damien is secretly just as dangerous as her but she refuses to admit it
Olivia & @ mattraub: two chaos entities. one represents the party gods, the other represents the chaotic force of nature. for example: olivia starts a rave in the woods and like 500 people show up. matt shows up and just decimates the DJ booth with lightning bolts and says “WHY WASN’T I INVITED”. he was invited, he just wanted to be a dramatic bitch
man I'm so excited for the different TEAM DYNAMICS!! I've seen a few people mention Shayne and Damien being on opposite teams, but so are Courtney + Olivia and Ian + Lasercorn, and I'm curious to see how that plays into things! (that and Wes + Joven and Keith + Noah being on the same teams should make things interesting too)
HOLY SHIT I JUST CHECKED MY INBOX AND THERE ARE A BUNCH OF ASKS IM SO SORRY FOR NOT CHECKING IT SOONER
Dude. Yes. There have been so many broken pairings, but SO many good ones too. I’m SUPER excited to see lots of Keith/Noah dynamics, and even some Keith/Damien ones too! I think that mushroom clouts strong suit will definitely be the comrodery between its players. We have SO many good dynamics on mushroom clout (and even thinking of it now, so many on toxicitea as well). There’s Lasercorn/Damien; Lasercorn/Courtney (which has shown to be a strong dad/kid type pairing; as opposed to d/l which has been mentor/mentee); we’ve got Keith/Noah (obvi); as well Keith/Courtney (strong friends who will chime in for one another); the ever popular Damien/Courtney (who have a good sibling style dynamic); and lots more across the board. The only outlier will probably be kimmy, but with Damien, who always seem keen to include and overall tries to be friendly with everyone, Courtney, who has already worked closely with kimmy, and Lasercorn, who often teases others, but in a good meaning way. I think that she’ll slot in well (and by other predictions we’ll either be shipping her with Courtney or Damien by the end of this).
I’m also SUPER excited for some good weshire, some Olivia and Shayne interactions, and whatever the hell that paintball Shayne promo was. Also. Badass Mari. Why? I’m gay. And so are you. I don’t think we need to go much further. This summer games is gonna be GREAT. And DAMN I’m excited!!!!
chanse, angela, arasha, and tommy (who i like to think of as "C.A.A.T.") have quickly become my absolute favorite set of cast members for a video. with swing your sausage, slap n sip, thats not a hat pt2, and a few more videos with this cast all having such a perfect level of energy in each of them... T.A.C.O. if it was based

Someone a while back was talking about feeling like Damien and Courtney's friendship changed and I have a comment about that. I feel like since announcing their marriage, Courtney no longer feels like they have to lean away from Shayne and that is really cool. I don't know how to particularly explain it but I feel like Courtney leaned into other cast members as a way to like deflect those types of comments, especially early days. They did/sometimes still do with Spencer as well. Damien was much more prevalent on the channel at that time so he was often a consistent counterpart for Courtney. I just take it less as Courtney and Damien (or anyone else with Court) not so much as a bad change, but an adjustment as they are able to relax and not hyper fixate on their interactions as much

I agree with the anon about Chanse and Damien, I love their dynamic! The "not wrong, just different" moment made me tear up a little the first time I heard it, lmao. I think they work well together improvising in the Spud Hut too.
But that post made me realise, there's a lot of underrated dynamics people have with Damien, and I want to draw attention to and appreciate some here, if I may (this is probably gonna be long, sorry in advance xD).
I feel like the most talked about Damien duos are Shamien and Damangela (both of which I adore), but for this I want to mention Tommy, Amanda, Arasha and Trevor:
Firstly, I feel like Tommy shares Damien's specific sense of humour a lot- I see this a ton in the trucker series they used to have on Games. Hooey and Beef Beef have my heart, I really hope someday they'll come back for smth!! (I saw some youtube comments saying Tommy has ADHD but I haven't seen it confirmed, but if it's true that could be why they vibe so well, as two ND ppl!) Also, they kinda have a few similar characters- what I wouldn't give to see Tommy's Ripley from the most recent Bit City and Damien's Colonel Sanders from the fast food episode interact xD
Secondly- Amanda! Specifically in the two episodes of Smosh Mouth about riddles and bad two sentence horror stories, I really love their dynamic. Amanda being amazed at how quickly Damien can answer riddles and his iconic answer "I'm autistic!" made me so happy (I related to him so much there, as I too am an autistic person who knew the answer to most of the riddles xD) and their convos about moisturiser or whatever it was, and that bit about the cock-sucking devil- AND the talk about Damien and Shayne perhaps showing Amanda a Dark Souls game (still holding out hope for that!!). I feel like they also really work well as a trio with Shayne, which is why Smosh Mouth stands out to me I guess.
Thirdly, I REALLY love Arasha and Damien's dynamic. I feel like Arasha just notices a lot of things (especially in Games videos), and is always down to pick up smth and 'yes, and' it in the same way that Damien is! They can both make up ridiculous stories with a straight face, and I'd love to see a one-on-one video with them again sometime. I want to highlight a moment in the werewords video that always makes me smile- when Damien was always guessing a bird straight away, and when it was his turn Arasha asked "is it a bird?" for him! It makes me so happy bc that moment is what turned it into a full on joke for everyone, not just smth Damien was saying to himself. I really hope they bring it back for the next werewords video tbh.
And finally, Trevor! They're so silly together, I love the Culinary Crimes video they were in sm. They're both food guys and great at improv, it was a delight to see them in that one. Also, I don't think I realised they were actually close irl until I watched the episode 4 of Yap Time (Trevor and Raven's podcast) when Raven mentioned meeting Damien at a Mythical&Smosh holiday party a few years ago, and the way she said it gave me the impression they hang out a lot- at least more than work friends would. Oh and, that makes me remember Damien's most recent insta post with Trevor, Arasha and Tommy! I love that pic, and Trevor and Arasha's comments on the post xD
