I was so disappointed when we didn't get to see them younger in the movie, so I had to take matters into my own hands >:3

the smurfs fandom may be little 

-may be inactive unless a new movie is made

-is divided between those who liked the LA movies and those who hated it 

-has little females so most has to make OCs 

But there is one huge perk : since there are not a lot of canon couples  there is almost:  NO DIE FOR OUR SHIP!

Yes, only two out of many characters are victims of DFOS . One of them (the nymph who tried to lure Papa smurf) actualy deserve it.

The other , Hefty , who is sometimes (but rarely)  made into a huge jerk when the author wants to pair smurfette with another smurf or their autor avatar (which other authors can see that is a stupid thing to do since they are canocicaly only friends) , Hefty is beloved by most of the fanbase regardless of shipping.

And there are NO SHIP WARS! , everybody will respect your mind since there are very little canon couples 

-Handy and Marina (and she only apeared in three episodes ,is not mentioned outside them and their relationship status is not actualy clear if they are still tecnicaly together)

-The clockworks (everybody keeps them together)

-Most recently,Papa smurf and Smurfwillow (and it is only implied)

So the fandom is little but you won’t have to worry about character bashing or people attaking you,the perks of a little fandom

i don't have enough space to put all my smurf figures out but i always keep these two out because they're my favourites not sure if the one on the left is genuine (it's got the Peyo signature on it but no other details on the feet). anyway it was the first smurf figure i got and i like him a lot the one on the right is from when i was in holiday in belgium years ago (a very exciting holiday as i saw a lot of smurfy stuff!!) and it's gemini from a smurf zodiac set
