will probably show it off more once I get the @/maddestmao artwork in, but here it is. it’ll probably replace my victrix fs-12 full time once I get used to it, and I’ll do a proper review/writeup of why I had to replace it in the first place later
I FINALLY GOT MY SNACKBOX MICRO!!
Due to a botched UFB install, I completely borked my Hori RAP N and was basically unable to play any fighting games for about two months. It's been an arduous, grueling time away from my bread and butter genre, but it was worth it. This thing feels really solid and actually a little heavier than I expected from the screenshots. It's responsive, comfy, and honestly a little foreign to me.
The first twenty minutes all my muscle memory went out the window, but starting minute twenty-one I started getting more comfortable and was able to do special moves and combos like I used to on stick. The weirdest thing to get used to is where "up" (or better yet the "jump button") is positioned on the Micro. I ended up having to switch my controls around cos I found my left thumb resting on jump instead of LK, which I ended up pressing with my index finger, which was wild. But all in all, super worth it and I can't wait to actually play some friggin fighting games again instead of just reblogging art fawning over Testament.
