listen the parallels are there and they are begging me to be explored. The empty promises, the power grab, the learned helplessness, the blood on its name. I don’t care if that’s what Brennan and Sam were thinking when they came up with it, filament is a fantastic metaphor for it, literally stealing what’s not theirs for power they shouldn’t have. When filament shows up somewhere you know the Halovars are out doing something awful. Same thing. A warning sign.
And that said, if I ever write a modern au Wicander you KNOW he’s gonna be asking some light themed AI about everything under the sun, bc why would he do research when he can just trust the Light?
