ooooohh this explains a lot actually that i’ve been wondering about from the emmy’s, so ended up looking up specific rules about air dates. thanks man!

Did people boycott because of Delphine? Lame-o. This is all news to me, since I really only started following OB on social media at the end of S4... even though I've been watching since the beginning.
yeah, they did. this was all on the heels of the whole t1oo thing so fandom was a lot more riled up in general, but still. and it was a pretty gross time for the duration of season 4 because people were actually posting graphs of the declining ratings and /celebrating/ the fact that ratings were going down.
so now the fact that they’re all getting excited again simply because UWU coopheeen<3<3 and saying that “copheen ‘’’resurected’’’ the fandom” just makes me so annoyed because there are actually A LOT of us who hadn’t/haven’t gone ANYWHERE during season 4 and have continued to /support/ the show throughout those years from the s3 hiatus until now.

i mean???? i really don’t know what to think about it. i came for the aliens and amy adams (if you couldn’t tell :P) so i was like, really confused in the middle when she started getting these “flashes” (that turned out to be “flash forwards” a la LOST :P) and i just wanted them to go back to the aliens
but also the fact that the title “arrival” was also very easily (and probably intentionally) in reference to the baby, as well as the aliens. so i was just like ????? why.
