Snake daemon army. Wanted to make this of the different snake type daemians I've seen around Tumblr, the forum, and Discord.

finally finished my snake daemon for my his dark materials cosplay.

his name is Edward and he is a woma python (pic at bottom for comparison as well as species details).

like me he is gay as the day is long. His drag show name is Zsa Zsa Gáboa.

Woma pythons are from Australia and live in arid areas. They lack heat sensors on their faces because they predominantly eat cold-blooded animals like lizards.

They are very docile and easy to care for as pets. Something extra neat is that the mother pythons stay with her eggs until they hatch, vibrating to keep them warm.

in Australian indigenous cultures, woma pythons are associated with creation stories, rainbows, and healing.

python daemons are said to belong to people who are clever and empathetic, usually with excellent communication skills. They must constantly "shed their skin", meaning that they must change and evolve. They also travel a lot, needing to shed the old parts of their life in order to grow.

meet my daemon. a woma python.

they are surprisingly smart and actually take care of their eggs. They get to be about 4.5 feet long. They live in the arid regions of Australia. They eat small reptiles and sometimes mice and birds.

The big symbolism for them is being ever changing. In many of the native traditions of their habitat, pythons are revered because the earth was created by a rainbow snake who wiggles through the ground to make mountains. Rainbows are her mark, traveling from one life-giving water source to another.

To stay emotionally healthy, snake daemon people shed their old skin (old unhealthy habits and relationships) to become stronger and better.

Snake people have to learn how to set boundaries. Which is definitely an issue I have because I take on too much and try to do everything for everybody.

not sure about name or pronouns yet but their nickname is definitely Zsa Zsa Gáboa.

so I have a small owl tattoo on my boob with some rainbow watercolor designs around it.

for months I've been trying to think of a good name for it.

finally came up with the perfect one today.

Olivia Hootin' John.

That's his drag name anyway. His birth certificate name is Sir Hooters Hootington III.

just like how my daemon's (a snake) real name is Edward, but his drag name is Zsa Zsa Gáboa.
