Celestial Dragon AU
After dying in the book of elements Cedric wanders the strange dimensions of his afterlife, trying to find a way back home. He discovers that the void is not as empty as it seems and meets strange creatures he can only describe as Celestial Dragons. With their help he works to gain back his magic and find the balance between monster and man.
After this months event I will release a short comic based on this idea.
I’M GOING TO TALK ABOUT SNAKE WIZARD UNPROMPTED NOW.
what those in the Rogue Isles know as “Snakes” are actually mutated humans, afflicted with a rare and mysterious virus. when Elizabeth Feng was born, her mother--”Mama Feng”--was in the early stages of this mutation, unbeknownst to anyone before it was too late. while trying to find a cure, her father also succumbed to the virus. but not before testing one of these prototype cures on his afflicted daughter.
this effectively stalled the development of the mutation in Elizabeth before she, too, could turn into a snake--still, though, she had already developed some notable traits, such as reptilian eyes, a forked tongue, and pallid skin. after losing both of her parents to the mutation, Elizabeth made it her new mission in life to pick up where her father left off and cure all the snakes in the Rogue Isles once and for all.
she pursued a career in biology, but even after years and years of research, progress on the cure was coming to a halt, and she was becoming more desperate. Elizabeth decided to try a new path--she began to study magic. an old spellbook from the witches of Croatoa made it into her hands, and, treating it like any form of research, she took it to the lab at her university. unfortunately, this particular spellbook only contained fire spells far more advanced than she was prepared for, and she ended up burning down half the university. she was charged with arson and thrown into the Zigursky Penitentiary.
two years in the Zig was enough to change her as a person. she practiced the only two spells she knew. fellow inmates began to call her the Snake Wizard.
then, Arachnos came to break all the prisoners out of the Zig. they extended a hand to Elizabeth, seeing her impressive magicianship as incredible potential. with little other choice, Elizabeth joined forces with Arachnos and stationed herself in Mercy Island, where she took orders directly from Kalinda.
it wasn’t long before she was commanded to face off against the Snakes. her superiors in Arachnos knew about her condition, but they didn’t see that as a threat--in fact, they used this to their advantage. who else but Snake Wizard could infiltrate the snake holes?
the first Snake that Elizabeth ever killed was called Mamba Fang. it reminded her of her mother.
it was at that moment that Snake Wizard gave up on trying to find a cure. she was still going to put an end to the Snakes in the Rogue Isles, sure. by killing them all.
right? after all, it was what Arachnos wanted her to do.
