First thing, OMG glad you like my interpretations of everyone! Thank you!

Second thing, I like to imagine it's a bit of both for Shadow. He relies heavily on his mobility and powers in a fight, and prefers wearing only his light clothing with no extra weight dragging him down. He also just doesn't see a point in himself wearing mail.

Of course, that's not to say he is completely invincible, and his powers heavily depend on his environment after the mirror shattered. Dark spook cave/dungeon or night? Completely untouchable. Dawn/Dusk or a heavily shaded forest in the day? A little riskier, but still okay. Broad daylight and nothing to duck into a shadow real quick? The boy needs help BAD.

Makes sense! His fighting style in the manga definitely seems to rely more on magic, trickery, and dodging, rather than direct attacks (at least until he gets too pissed off not to charge in claws-first ^^;;)

I have similar headcanons about his powers fluctuating depending on time of day / level of light, too!

Found Family trope

I think if you boiled down the essence of what gets me invested in a story, it'd be Characters Caring About Other Characters. And Found Family is one form of that, so!

My friend found a shiny Lechonk super fast too! Within the first 20 minutes of playing Scarlet, in fact. I don't have the game (yet) but I just thought that was super funny that both you and my friend found shiny piggies haha.

My best guess is that it's because there are just SO MANY Pokemon spawning in the overworld all the time in this game, even if the shiny rates aren't any higher than other games per Pokemon, you're still more likely to actually see one in SV, because there are so many more opportunities.

And shiny Lechonk is a nice, bright, eye-catching pink, so it's probably even more noticeable when it shows up xD
