Top 10 favorite memories you had whilst writing TKT (there were a ton, but, you ~know)
Writing a bunch of it up in the canyon where my grandfather lives and where I had no wifi. It was so quiet except for, like, little wilderness noises.
YOUR REACTIONS, MONICA. YOUR REACTIONS. I think you told me “I hate you” roughly five million times. Cheers. Also your feedback, brainstorming, encouragement and logic.
Each time I had a writing epiphany while writing, because a little +10 XP would appear above my head.
This one time when I took all the plot threads and wrote them out on sticky notes in a timeline. It took a lot of sticky notes. I...should probably have done that differently.
Whenever I knew exactly how I wanted a scene and then watched it come together on paper, as opposed to just blindly clawing my way through the dark. Which was far more common.
Coming up with an aesthetics folder and a playlist.
When I had to physically mime out certain movements of the characters to see what their bodies would do naturally.
Hoarding notes/outlines/doodles/charts like a dragon, screeching when people go too close to their lil folder.
Asking my uncle about blood splatter patterns and him just kind of shrugging and saying “you’re a weird kid” before helping me out.
