Qualcomm Will Launch New Chipset Designed for AR and VR Headsets Besides working on new SoCs for smartwatches, chipmaker Qualcomm will release a new line of processors for standalone headsets this year. Called the Snapdragon XR1, the chipset will combine all components like the CPU, GPU, NPU, and a dedicated security solution on a single piece of silicon. The chipset will be optimized to ensure maximum battery out of the AR and VR headsets.
