as of 10:22p yesterday, it's been reported that police kicked in #KorrynGaines door. since this tragedy originally hit the news, it was being reported that they got a key from the leasing office and when they entered, she was sitting there with a shotgun in one hand and her child in the other. the relaying of details was "off" to me, from the jump, so #snapjudgment OF HER seemed inappropriate. yes, there are good cops out there however, I'm skeptical of ANY situation where the story has holes, supposed facts are changed AND relevant truths are conveniently left out. #sayhername as loudly AND frequently as we say the Black men who have lost their lives due to unfair treatment by law enforcement. if a White person, with a weapon, standing off with the police can safely be detained through de-escalation, why can't Black people? no one has to be a member of the #BLM movement to understand that #blacklivesmatter.
